Job Description

Job Title:
Traveling Events Vendor Company:
Love's Jerky Co.
Position Type:
Part-Time / Seasonal (Contract)
Location:
On the road! Requires regional travel to premier festivals, farmers markets, and events.
Pay:
15% of sales (No base pay commissions only) About Love's Jerky Co. At Love's Jerky Co., we are passionate about clean labels, premium ingredients, and authentic flavor. Founded on a 37-year-old family process, we specialize in premium, thin-and-crispy style beef jerky made from 100% beef, entirely free of seed oils. We are a family-built brand experiencing rapid growth, and we are looking for high-energy, detail-oriented individuals to bring our jerky directly to communities at bustling farmers markets, street fairs, and massive summer festivals. Position Summary We are looking for a charismatic, independent, and reliable Traveling Events Vendor to act as the face of Love's Jerky Co. on the event circuit. In this role, you won't just be running a register—you will be an ambassador for our brand heritage, introducing crowds to the unique texture of thin-and-crispy jerky and sharing our commitment to clean food. If you love traveling, meeting new people, and driving sales through genuine interaction, this is the perfect opportunity.
Key Responsibilities Event Setup & Breakdown:
Safely transport, unpack, and assemble the Love's Jerky Co. event footprint (including a 10x10 canopy tent, heavy-duty display tables, signage, banners, and product inventory).
Brand Ambassadorship & Sampling:
Proactively engage festival-goers and market shoppers. Confidently communicate our core selling points (the unique "thin & crispy" texture, 100% grass-fed beef, no seed oils, and our family story). Run a clean, enticing sampling station to drive trial and conversion.
Sales & Cash Handling:
Drive on-site retail sales. Accurately manage transactions using a mobile point-of-sale (POS) system (e.g., Square), manage cash bags, and issue digital receipts.
Inventory & Booth Compliance:
Track daily inventory levels, report end-of-day sales numbers, and maintain a highly organized, visually striking booth display that complies with local event, health, and fire department regulations.
Travel & Logistics:
Fly and Drive to and from scheduled event locations. Ensure all equipment is safely packed, loaded, and accounted for between weekend stops.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
1-2 years of experience in retail sales, brand ambassadorship, event marketing, or hospitality. Experience working outdoor markets or festivals is a massive plus. The "Hustle"
Factor:
High energy, an outgoing personality, and the ability to comfortably strike up conversations with strangers all day long.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand for long periods (often 8-10 hours outdoor) in various weather conditions, and lift up to 50 lbs comfortably to manage heavy tents, weights, and inventory bins.
Reliable Transportation:
A clean driving record and a reliable, spacious vehicle (SUV, van, or truck preferred) capable of transporting full booth setups and bulk inventory to event sites.
Tech Savvy:
Comfortable navigating mobile smartphone/tablet apps for processing digital payments and communication.
Schedule Flexibility:
Must have open availability for weekend work (Friday evening through Sunday), as this is when the majority of major festivals and markets occur.
Perks & Benefits Competitive Pay:
15% of sales commissions
Travel Accommodations:
Pre-arranged lodging or travel stipends provided for long-distance/overnight festival events.
Growth Opportunities:
As a rapidly scaling business, top-performing vendors will have the chance to move into regional event management or full-time operations roles.
To Apply:
If you're ready to hit the road and help us share the best thin-and-crispy jerky on the market, please submit your resume along with a brief note telling us about your favorite festival memory or your experience managing outdoor retail events.
Pay:
$25.00 per hour
Work Location:
On the road
