Position Overview:
We are seeking a marketing coordinator to join our 38-person structural engineering firm. This in-person (at our Berkeley offices), nonexempt position will report directly to our director of marketing and business development. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, and at least a year of professional experience, and/or a strong background in AEC (Architecture/Engineering/Construction) marketing.

Work closely with firm leadership and technical teams - your work will shape how clients see us. Blend creative content work (case studies, thought leadership, social) with operations (CRM, analytics, events) for a varied, high-impact role. Deepen your career in A/E marketing with clear ownership and room to grow, including supported membership in SMPS (Society for Marketing Professional Services). What you will do Lead (or support) end-to-end development and production of qualification packages, proposals, and presentations for pursuit opportunities, including research, scheduling, content coordination, editing, design, and final delivery. Coordinate interview preparation, including presentation materials and leave-behinds Initiate and develop fee proposals; gather project data; and manage the logistics of the proposal process. Manage CRM data (project and client contacts, BD events calendar), ensuring accuracy and database integrity; upload project images and assets with keywords Develop and maintain marketing collateral, including project sheets, case studies, capability statements, statements of qualification, bios, presentations, and targeted client packages Write and edit client-facing content: technical and nontechnical content for proposals, website, newsletters, social media posts, and thought leadership tailored to technical audiences Manage and produce awards submissions content and posters; coordinate and/or license photography and other assets Create and manage website content updates, ensuring accuracy and freshness Ensure all materials adhere to brand guidelines and maintain high quality standards; maintain organized marketing asset library and template systems Plan, coordinate, and execute client meetings, special events, workshops, trade-show participation, year-end client gifts, and corporate branded materials; support SMPS chapter involvement Contribute to annual marketing and business development planning; monitor industry trends, competitive positioning, and support market research and target client identification What we are looking for
Education :
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration, journalism, or related field
Experience :
1-5 years of marketing experience, preferably in the AEC industry
Technical Proficiency :
Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Word, PowerPoint, Excel) CRM platforms (Deltek Vision, Cosential, or similar) Project management tools and collaboration platforms would be helpful
Skills :
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities Graphic design capabilities Excellent project management and organizational skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Detail-oriented with commitment to quality and accuracy Ability to work independently and collaboratively Willingness to work extended hours when necessary
Compensation:
$70,000 to $110,000 annually depending on experience and credentials.
