We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Private Events to lead the strategy, creativity, and execution of a dynamic portfolio of luxury events across our renowned estates. This is an opportunity to shape extraordinary experiences for discerning guests for one of Napa Valley's most respected wine estates. From elevated wine club experiences and exclusive paid events to intimate internal gatherings and high-profile philanthropic engagements, this role will bring our brands to life through thoughtful storytelling, flawless execution, and inspired leadership. The ideal candidate is equal parts strategist, creative visionary, hospitality leader, and operational expert—someone who thrives on creating memorable moments, leading high-performing teams, and delivering experiences that exceed expectations. This position offers commission. ________________________________________ What You'll Do Lead the Vision for Luxury Hospitality Experiences
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive events strategy that strengthens brand identity, deepens guest engagement, and drives revenue growth.
  • Conceptualize and elevate innovative event experiences that reflect the sophistication and heritage of Far Niente Wine Estates.
  • Partner closely with estate leadership, marketing, hospitality, and sales teams to align event programming with broader business objectives. Create Exceptional Experiences
  • Oversee the planning and execution of a diverse portfolio of events, including luxury consumer experiences, wine club events, internal celebrations, philanthropic events, and trade experiences.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, delivering a highly personalized and elevated guest journey from inquiry through execution.
  • Ensure every detail reflects the quality, elegance, and hospitality standards synonymous with our estates. Inspire and Develop a High-Performing Team
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the events team while fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships across the organization and with external vendors and partners.
  • Serve as the primary relationship lead for marquee clients, VIP guests, and high-profile engagements. Drive Operational and Financial Excellence
  • Manage event budgets, forecasting, profitability, and operational planning with a strategic business mindset.
  • Oversee final event proposals, contracts, and Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure consistency, quality, and financial success.
  • Continuously evaluate processes, resources, and guest feedback to improve efficiency and elevate the overall experience. Stay Ahead of Trends
  • Bring fresh ideas and innovative thinking to luxury hospitality and experiential marketing.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, guest expectations, and emerging event concepts to ensure our experiences remain best-in-class. ________________________________________ What You Bring
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in luxury events, hospitality, wine, lifestyle, or related industries.
  • Proven experience leading complex, high-touch events and managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a passion for hospitality.
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing budgets and driving profitability.
  • Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail and execution.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
