Position The Marketing Coordinator will support the Marketing team in executing fan engagement initiatives, with a focus on Fan Club programming and event execution. This role will assist in planning and delivering Fan Club experiences, coordinating matchday activations, and supporting broader marketing efforts. Working cross-functionally with Events, Partnerships, and Digital teams, this position will help execute integrated campaigns across email, web, app, and digital channels. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a passion for creating engaging experiences for fans while contributing to overall marketing initiatives. Role and Responsibilities Fan Club Management Own and manage the SDFC's Fan Club program, including Membership growth, engagement, and retention Develop and execute Fan Club campaigns, communications, and exclusive experiences Oversee Membership fulfillment, database management, and reporting Plan, communicate, and execute Fan Club specific events and matchday activations Matchday & Event Execution Partner closely with the Events team to deliver engaging matchday experiences for youth and families Manage Fan Club and grassroots activations on matchdays, including staffing and logistics Support planning and execution of club-hosted community events Marketing & Communications Support the broader Marketing team across website, app, email marketing, paid media, and additional campaign execution Assist with website updates, including page builds, content edits, and ongoing site maintenance Provide general marketing support, including content updates, asset management, and campaign coordination Maintain marketing calendars and assist in ensuring timely execution of campaigns and initiatives Work with marketing team on persona-based communication Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Communications, or related field 1-3 years of experience in sports, events, community engagement, or grassroots marketing Experience supporting or managing community-based programs such as loyalty programs, college/student programs, or similar fan engagement initiatives required Experience working with youth programs, influencers, or soccer organizations is a plus Strong organizational and project management skills This role starts at $25.00 per hour.
