  • Full-time NHL Alumni Partnerships Director Aspen, Colorado | Travel Required About the Role This is not a traditional sponsorship sales role.
We are building one of the most unique sports and lifestyle experiences in North America, combining NHL legends, elite hospitality, Aspen luxury, high-net-worth guests, corporate partnerships, philanthropy, and world-class events. We are looking for a relationship-driven dealmaker who can help elevate and monetize the entire platform. The NHL Alumni Partnerships Director will lead sponsorship sales, brand partnerships, VIP relationship management, and corporate engagement for our NHL Alumni Classic and related experiences. This person must be comfortable sitting across from CEOs, founders, CMOs, athletes, and sponsors while also thriving in the fast-moving chaos of live events. You are not selling dasher boards and banner ads. You are selling access, experiences, relationships, hospitality, storytelling, and brand alignment. About Us Colorado Extreme Hockey and the NHL Alumni Classic are creating something different. What started as a hockey event has evolved into an invite-only experience centered around: NHL legends luxury hospitality private networking philanthropy elite youth hockey Aspen lifestyle unforgettable experiences Our events bring together NHL alumni, executives, entrepreneurs, families, sponsors, athletes, and high-profile guests in a way that very few sports properties can. This role will help shape the future growth of the platform. What You'll Be Responsible For Corporate Partnership Sales Identify and close sponsorship opportunities across: title sponsorships presenting partnerships hospitality experiences VIP events digital/media inventory jersey branding experiential activations luxury gifting broadcast integrations Develop custom sponsorship packages tailored to each brand Build long-term partnerships, not one-off transactions Relationship Management Serve as the primary point of contact for sponsors and strategic partners Build relationships with executives, entrepreneurs, luxury brands, and national companies Maintain year-round communication with partners Ensure sponsors feel integrated into the overall experience Event Integration & Activation Oversee sponsor execution before, during, and after the event Coordinate hospitality experiences, VIP access, signage, gifting, and activations Work closely with media, operations, and event staff to deliver premium experiences Help create "wow factor" moments for sponsors and guests Business Development Actively prospect new corporate relationships Leverage personal and professional networks to generate new opportunities Attend tournaments, networking events, NHL functions, and corporate meetings Identify creative partnership opportunities beyond traditional sponsorships Brand & Strategic Growth Help position the NHL Alumni Classic as a nationally recognized premium sports and lifestyle property Assist with media strategy, storytelling, and partner visibility Collaborate on future growth opportunities, including broadcast, expansion events, hospitality, and experiential programming Who We're Looking For We are not looking for a transactional salesperson. We are looking for someone who: builds trust naturally understands relationships knows how to sell premium experiences thrives in high-end environments can connect with both athletes and executives moves fast solves problems takes ownership Ideal Backgrounds May Include Sports partnerships Luxury hospitality sales Sponsorship sales Experiential marketing High-end event sales Corporate relationship management Professional sports or entertainment partnerships Qualifications Proven experience in sponsorship sales, partnerships, hospitality, or business development Strong communication and presentation skills Comfortable networking in high-end social and corporate environments Ability to manage multiple moving pieces simultaneously Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends around events Self-starter mentality with entrepreneurial energy Existing network within sports, business, luxury, or entertainment industries is a major plus What Success Looks Like Sponsors renew and expand year after year The event attracts premium national brands Corporate partners feel genuinely connected to the experience Sponsorship revenue scales materially year over year The event becomes known nationally as a must-attend NHL and lifestyle experience Compensation Competitive base salary Aggressive commission and bonus structure Travel and hospitality included Significant upside as the platform grows Why This Role Is Different Most sponsorship jobs involve selling inventory.
