Job Description

Position Overview The Bushnell Park Conservancy is seeking a reliable, friendly, and energetic Weekend Staff Member to support operations at the historic Bushnell Park Carousel. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with families, children, and the public, and who is comfortable in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment. Key Responsibilities Operate the
Carousel:
Safely run the carousel, follow all operating procedures, and ensure a positive experience for riders.
Front Desk & Register:
Greet guests, sell tickets, process payments, and provide general information about the carousel and park.
Customer Service:
Interact warmly with visitors, answer questions, and support a welcoming environment for all guests.
Birthday Party Host:
Assist with setup, hosting, and cleanup for birthday parties and small group events.
Cleaning & Maintenance:
Perform routine cleaning of the carousel area, party room, and public spaces to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Event Support:
Assist with occasional after‑hours events, including private rentals and special programs.
Team Collaboration:
Work cooperatively with other staff and follow direction from supervisors. Pay This is an hourly position Rate of Pay $16.94 / hour Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs . Comfortable standing for extended periods. Strong customer service and communication skills. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Prior experience in customer service, childcare, recreation, or events is helpful but not required. Willingness to work weekends and occasional evenings.
