Position Summary As a Tennis Attendant, you will play an essential role in supporting the daily operations of our vibrant tennis program. This position is responsible for maintaining court readiness, assisting with tennis events and programming, supporting members and guests, and ensuring our facilities reflect the high standards of Palma Ceia Golf & Country Club. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Court & Facility Operations Prepare, maintain, and clean tennis courts to ensure optimal playing conditions throughout the day. Assist with court setup and breakdown for lessons, matches, clinics, tournaments, and special events. Monitor tennis facilities and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout all tennis areas. Member & Guest Service Welcome members and guests in a friendly, professional, and engaging manner. Provide exceptional service by anticipating member needs and responding promptly to requests. Distribute tennis amenities including balls, towels, water, and other supplies. Help create a positive and welcoming environment that enhances the member experience. Program & Event Support Assist tennis professionals with lessons, clinics, leagues, and tournaments. Support event logistics, including setup, scorekeeping, player assistance, and post-event breakdown. Coordinate with the Tennis Director and tennis staff regarding daily schedules and special requests. Contribute to the successful execution of Club tennis events and social activities. Team Collaboration Work closely with the Tennis Director, tennis professionals, and fellow Club staff to ensure seamless operations. Assist with additional duties as assigned to support the overall success of the tennis program. Qualifications Previous experience in a tennis, sports, recreation, or hospitality environment preferred. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment. Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and sun exposure. Frequently lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks. Maintain energy, focus, and professionalism during busy operational periods and special events. Working Conditions This position requires both indoor and outdoor work. Team members will regularly be exposed to varying weather conditions, including Florida heat, humidity, rain, and direct sunlight.
