reviews $59,900•$66,500 a year•Full-time Marketing & Fundraising Events Coordinator Creating visibility for meaningful work Job Summary The Marketing & Fundraising Events Coordinator leads the planning and execution of Cottonwood's marketing, communications, and signature fundraising events. This role blends creativity with organization—developing engaging content, strengthening our brand, and delivering events that inspire donors, partners, and the broader community to support our mission. Why This Role Matters This position plays a key role in how Cottonwood shows up in the community. From fundraising events and donor communications to marketing materials and social media, the Coordinator helps amplify our mission, deepen relationships, and ensure our work is visible, trusted, and impactful. The success of this role directly supports our programs, partnerships, and long-term sustainability. What You'll Do Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising, donor engagement, and community events Collaborate with staff, board members, volunteers, and vendors to ensure smooth, successful events Develop and implement marketing and communications strategies aligned with organizational goals Create and produce print and digital materials such as newsletters, appeals, and annual reports Manage social media content, including scheduling posts, graphics, images, and video Support brand consistency and protect Cottonwood's public image and reputation Coordinate the annual fund drive and related fundraising campaigns Maintain donor and event databases with accuracy and confidentiality Prepare donor acknowledgments, recognition, and stewardship communications Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and service providers Assist with correspondence, reports, and executive or fundraising messaging Provide transportation for local errands and event-related needs Perform additional duties as assigned to support external relations and development efforts What We're Looking For A degree or certificate in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred) At least five (5) years of experience in marketing, communications, events, public relations, or a related role Someone who is highly organized, creative, and comfortable juggling multiple projects A collaborative professional who builds strong relationships internally and externally Preferred Experience using Canva and Hootsuite Background in nonprofit marketing, fundraising, or donor engagement Experience with photography, graphic design, and website content management Key Skills & Traits Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to manage deadlines while balancing competing priorities Comfort working independently and as part of a team Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, Excel, Access) Professional judgment, discretion, and a positive, relationship-centered approach Work Environment / Schedule This role is primarily based in a professional office setting, with occasional local travel and event-related work. Some evening or weekend hours may be required to support fundraising and community events.
