Job Description

The position is a part-time, 10-month, administrative position without benefits (1099 contractor). The anticipated start date for the position is August 10, 2026, and will run through June 11, 2027. This opportunity is geared to recent undergraduates with an interest in pursuing a career in collegiate athletics while gaining invaluable experience in a remote conference office setting. Recent graduates and individuals looking to begin a career in collegiate athletics are encouraged to apply. The position will assist in all aspects of conference operations with emphasis on communications, social media, website management, championship operations, and general administration. The position will also offer an opportunity for individuals to gain additional knowledge and experience in an area of professional interest (such as Compliance, Marketing, Sports Information, Fundraising etc.) The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment. Candidates are expected to reside in the geographic footprint of the conference (Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Washington, D.C.). Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree and the ability to commit a minimum of 25 hours per week to the position during normal working hours. Certain times of the year will require travel, as well as evening and weekend work. Schedules may vary during these periods to support conference championships and special events, with advance notice provided. The ability to work independently and meet deadlines is essential. A strong desire or demonstrated commitment to work in the field of intercollegiate athletics is required, while experience at the NCAA Division III level is preferred. Exceptional verbal, written, and digital communication skills are essential. Candidates must be able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously and demonstrate strong organizational and computer skills. A valid driver's license is required, along with the ability to travel independently to conference events and member institutions. This position is active in nature and includes event setup and breakdown responsibilities. Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 30-40 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with or without reasonable accommodation.
