Job Description

Under the direction of the SVP, Marketing & Brand with leadership from the Director of Digital Marketing, the Digital Marketing Coordinator (Coordinator) will provide strategy and execution of Michigan State Athletics digital efforts, including ticketing, email marketing, CRM, website and app, social media, advertising, and revenue generation efforts.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Digital Marketing:
Support the development, implementation and evaluation of the athletic department's digital marketing efforts to increase ticket and donation revenue and attendance through social media, email, website, app and other similar initiatives.
Email Marketing:
Support the development, implementation and evaluation of the athletic department's email communication to customers involving ticket opportunities, event promotion, corporate partnerships engagement and game day information. This coordinate will oversee weekly communication points, such as the Events on Campus Newsletter, Know Before You Go emails and other promotional event materials.
Ticket Sales & Attendance:
Provide support, strategy, and execution of ticket opportunities for all sports. Goal is to increase both attendance and revenue, while providing additional opportunities for new fans. Effectively communicate and coordinate with the Ticketing Department to develop, implement and evaluate these sales and promotional efforts. This role will focus heavily on ticket sales support.
New Fan Development:
Provide strategy and execution of new fan development through incoming students, parents, recent alumni, single-game ticket purchasers, secondary-market ticket buyers, Fanatics purchasers, corporate partnerships, and other local individuals and groups.
Website and Mobile App Development:
Provide support, strategy, and execution on digital initiatives within the official athletics webpage and mobile app, including building webpages for mobile ticketing and sport-specific ticketing landing pages, integration of mobile ticketing within app, developing and utilizing ticket information and email sign-up forms to cultivate new purchasers, and using ad spaces for ticket and event promotion. This role will serve as the lead contact for Spartan Ventures website updates as well as Breslin Center.
Research and Evaluation:
Utilize analytical tools and conduct research activities to determine the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, ticket sales initiatives and marketing plans. Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree; 2+ years of experience in professional, collegiate athletics or equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidate must display a commitment to responsibility for adhering to all policies, rules and regulations of MSU, the B1G Ten Conference and the NCAA.
