The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of Fan Experience plans and experiences. The hands-on role requires an individual with a strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Functions:
Travel to events and provide on-site fan experience which may include and is not limited to: event planning/execution, on-site setup and teardown, promotional item distribution, social media connections, autograph sessions, and general fan interaction Plan, research, execute and evaluate additional methods of increasing fan experience at, before or after events Execute in-market promotion plans prior to the event including guerilla marketing, leafleting, sign placement and other activities; as needed, partner with outside agencies to execute plans One-on-one personal interaction during events with large numbers of fans in attendance Address fans using microphones, megaphones or other large-scale devices; appear in videos to be shown on the large-screen displays Set up and teardown of fan experience event assets Clean, maintain and perform basic repair on fan-experience assets and equipment Coordinate pre or post-event entertainment as needed Partner with DIRTVision, Business Development and other WRG departments as needed to execute fan experience initiatives Other duties as assignedRequired Qualifications & Skills:
1+ years related experience preferably in a hands-on capacity Background in racing, event management or sports marketing a plus Strong problem-solving skills required Valid driver's license required Entrepreneurial spirit needed Proficient in Microsoft Office Able to communicate with a variety of people Able to handle a variety of priorities simultaneously Must be able to enter and exitCanada Additional Requirements:
This role is based in Concord, NC and requires an in-office presence This role travels throughout the US and Canada and will be responsible for procuring and maintaining credentials for such travel Travel is required for this role. During racing season, overnight travel may be 50-75% average per month decreasing to 5-10% outside of racing season; this position follows multiple series' race scheduleTime Demands:
In addition to a traditional work week, this position may be utilized during evening and/or weekend hours especially during racing season.Physical Demands:
This position requires frequent walking and standing with occasional sitting, climbing, bending, stretching, kneeling and crawling will occur daily; the use of hands to grasp and feel frequently; the occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds and may require use of close vision. This position is primary outdoors and will experience exposure to the elementsSafety Concerns:
When indoors, the safety concerns are those of a traditional office environment. When at an event, the safety concerns include exposure to loud noises, to dust, fumes and other irritants as well as exposure to outdoor elements, potential exposure to mechanical equipment and vehicles moving at varied rates of speed.
