Full Job Description Position Overview:
The Papillion Community Foundation is seeking a part-time Events & Marketing Coordinator to support the organization's events, communications, and community visibility efforts. Working under the direction of the Executive Director, this role assists in coordinating Foundation events, executing marketing and communications activities, and promoting the organization's mission and impact throughout the community. The Coordinator is expected to take ownership of assigned projects and tasks, ensuring consistent follow-through and attention to detail. This position contributes directly to the Foundation's ability to engage the community, grow participation, and deliver well-executed events and communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Coordination & Execution Assist with the coordination and implementation of 4-6 annual Foundation events (e.g. Papillion Days, Winter Wonderland, Fore the Foundation Golf Tournament) Support event logistics including timelines, vendor coordination, sponsorship fulfillment, and volunteer support Take responsibility for assigned event tasks and ensure timely follow-through Assist with fundraising components such as silent auctions and raffles Help track event attendance and participation Marketing & Communications Assist in maintaining a consistent communications calendar Create and schedule social media posts, email communications, and basic website updates Support promotion of Foundation events, campaigns, and initiatives Assist in developing promotional materials and sharing impact stories Compile and track basic engagement metrics Community & Donor Support Assist with donor and sponsor communications, including acknowledgements and event follow-up Support attendee communications for events and initiatives Maintain organized records related to events, marketing, and outreach efforts Assist with maintaining and updating records in the CRM system Organizational Support Provide general support for Foundation initiatives and projects as assigned Maintain organized records for events, communications, and engagement activities Follow through on assigned tasks and deadlines in a timely and reliable manner
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in events, marketing, communications, nonprofit work, or related field preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills Experience with social media platforms, email marketing, and basic website updates Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events
