Job Description

Development/Women@NJPAC Fellowship New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) located in downtown Newark, NJ, is the country's most diverse performing arts center, and the artistic, cultural, educational and civic center of New Jersey — where great performances and events enhance and transform lives every day. NJPAC brings diverse communities together, providing access to all and showcasing the state's and world's best artists while acting as a leading catalyst in the revitalization of its home city. NJPAC's Development Department, a team of 17 people, is responsible for fundraising 35% of the organization's income in a typical year. Women@NJPAC, a "sisterhood for good" for the last 30 years, is an integral part of this department. Since being established in 1994, Women@NJPAC has elevated the voices of women and girls, raised more than $57 million to support NJPAC and has grown into an organization of thousands of executives, artists, activists, mothers and change-makers devoted to advancing the performing arts, amplifying the philanthropic work of its members and helping NJPAC deliver on its mission as an anchor cultural institution. NJPAC is hiring for our Fellows Program. The Development/Women@NJPAC fellow assists the staff on a wide variety of event planning, board management and production-related projects. The Development/Women@NJPAC fellow will work with our team members in different departments (Development, Marketing, Production and CRM) to help plan and execute cultivation and fundraising events and support fundraising campaigns at NJPAC. The fellow will learn from the various teams within Development — corporate sponsorship, individual giving, foundation and government funding, operations & gift processing and research and prospect management — and develop skills in event planning, volunteer management, mail-merge mailing, data management (Salesforce) and business communications.
