25 La Madera Rd., Sandia Park, NM An Off-Campus Work-Study Position - MUST have a Work-Study Award Position Summary East Mountain seeks a creative and motivated work-study student to serve as a Marketing & Communications Coordinator, supporting storytelling, outreach, and brand development across the school's programs and initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in marketing, communications, and digital media while contributing to a high-performing and innovative school community. The assistant will help showcase student experiences, highlight school achievements, and support engagement with families, partners, and the broader community. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple platforms in a fast-paced environment. Job Duties (include but are not limited to):
  • Create and schedule social media content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
  • Capture photos and videos of school events, classrooms, and student experiences
  • Assist in developing marketing campaigns for programs (enrollment, events, fundraising, etc.)
  • Draft short-form content including captions, posts, and promotional materials
  • Support design of flyers, newsletters, and digital graphics
  • Help maintain and update website content and announcements
  • Track engagement metrics and provide basic analytics reports
  • Assist with storytelling projects highlighting students, staff, and programs
  • Support outreach efforts for events, including invitations and promotional materials
  • Ensure brand consistency across all communications
  • Perform other related duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Enrolled in a degree seeking program at UNM, Enrolled at least half-time (6 hours) at UNM for fall and spring semesters (Audit hours do not count), and if Work Study, you must meet Satisfactory Academic Progress. Preferred Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a degree-seeking program at UNM
  • Enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours)
  • Eligible for Federal Work-Study
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance during scheduled hours Preferred Qualifications
  • Interest in marketing, communications, journalism, or media
  • Experience with social media platforms and content creation
  • Basic skills in photography, video, or graphic design (Canva, Adobe, etc.)
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Creativity and attention to detail
