(d/b/a Tamaya Ventures) Southern Sandoval Investments, Ltd, doing business as Tamaya Ventures (TV), is a federally chartered tribal economic development corporation, created to develop income and diverse business holding and functions. TV is owned and operated by the Pueblo of Santa Ana, a federally recognized Tribal Nation. TV delivers income and services to the Pueblo through the sound management of TV's assets, resources, and operations. In operation since 1993, TV continues to have extraordinary growth and diversification potential due to its standing and legal attributes as a corporation of a sovereign Tribal Nation.
Job Summary:
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for marketing strategy and implementing marketing efforts for the business lines of TV. The Marketing Coordinator will assist the CEO, the TV management team, and the Board of Directors in supervising key campaigns, conducting market research, pricing research, and reviewing consumer data. The incumbent will also be responsible for coalescing, creating and maintaining marketing content and campaigns across multiple local, regional and national media and internet platforms.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Under the direction of and reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the primary duties of the Marketing Coordinator include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Coordinate efforts for, and support and assist the CEO and Board of Directors in, the development of marketing goals and strategies, business relationships, and partnering strategies.
  • Develop marketing and promotional strategies and campaigns, integrating media, brand management, and outreach efforts.
  • Develop marketing materials in multiple different platforms, such as ad copy, visual and graphic designs, and social media posts
  • Organize and maintain marketing, promotional, social media, and other related public communications functions.
  • Support, plan, and execute marketing campaigns to promote the Tribal business while ensuring brand consistency, operational coordination, and adherence to Tribal cultural values.
  • Work directly with the CEO, Board of Directors, and operational directors, as appropriate and assigned, on marketing and promotional management efforts, including reporting accountability.
  • Serve as a primary or additional liaison, depending on the project, to internal and external partners, sponsorships, entities, and planning bodies.
  • Monitor marketing trends to develop, research, and update marketing data.
  • Create reports and present decisional information.
  • Provide performance metric analysis materials, including measurements and results related to pricing, promotions, product line decisions, and break-even analysis.
  • Perform and assist with internal and external preparation materials, illustrations, explanations, interpretations, breakdowns, and other related management tools and information.
  • Coordinate and fulfill internal and external reporting and accounting deliverables on a timely basis.
  • Support and maintain systems of internal control in coordination with others to safeguard financial assets of the organization relative to marketing and promotional programs.
  • Conduct search engine optimization research, reporting, and maintenance.
  • Monitor and maintain company social media marketing accounts
  • Coordinate meetings with marketing partners and team members to discuss campaigns
  • Attend team meetings to discuss upcoming marketing and sales goals and objectives
  • Monitor and reconcile marketing budgets with expenses for marketing campaigns
  • Attend local trade events to meet vendors, clients, and customers to develop marketing connections.
  • Establish and maintain organizational and extra-organizational relationships to facilitate the smooth flow of such relationships.
  • Maintain processes, procedures, policies analysis, and process improvement efforts.
  • Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development.
  • Comply with regulations and policies of the organization.
  • Understand and mitigate key elements of the organization's risk profile.
  • Ensure that the marketing materials (brochures, flyers, advertisements, postings, etc.) adhere to the Tribal Nation's branding and culture standards.
  • Ensure that the organization complies with relevant marketing legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent the organization at community, business networking, and trade association functions.
  • Communicate relevant issues in a timely manner to the CEO, Board of Directors, and other appropriate team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CEO.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent levels of marketing, sales, design, or strategic relations experience accepted.
  • Experience in property, retail sales, food service, and sports facilities preferred.
  • Experience with online analytic tools, such as Survey Monkey and customer heat maps preferred.
  • Holding a PCM license or Google Analytics Certification is preferred.
  • Entry level possible, given relevant educational and/or experience and accomplishments.
  • One (1) to five (5) years of experience with a for-profit, nonprofit organization, government entity, corporation, or similarly complex operation.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software platforms, Word and Excel.
Physical Demands:

  • Ability to utilize multiple different social media and marketing software platforms.

Required/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Highly self-motivated, positive, and assertive in a teamwork environment.
  • Flexibility in application of knowledge, skills, and abilities in a dynamic multifaceted tribal economic development corporation.
  • Experience working with site-specific and/or higher volume customer service operations, such as a kitchen/restaurant food service business, convenience store gas station, and sports complex.
  • Ability in tracking trends through retail and attendance analytics and growth strategy metrics.
  • Marketing, advertising, outreach, sales, and/or partnering strategy knowledge in a professional role.
  • Demonstrable poise and tactful ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations and information.
  • Demonstrable and proven abilities in marketing or advertising, and strategy implementation.
  • Advanced written, oral, interpersonal and negotiating skills with ability to recognize and respond to sales, marketing, and strategic relations or partnership opportunities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally through both verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, plan and set priorities to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and to make reliable prompt decisions with available information.
  • Ability to effectively work with both internal and external customers, partners, and vendors.
  • Demonstrable teamwork skills and efficient and effective work habits.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
  • Ability to project a friendly, courteous, patient and professional image at all times, even under adverse conditions.
  • A willingness to learn, respect, and understand the Tribal Nation's cultural dynamics and community values.
  • Experience working for and with Tribal Governments and/or Tribal business enterprises is preferred.

Compensation:
This position has an annual salary range of $51,000.00 to $69,000.00, with the median of $60,000.00, variable with experience and educational qualifications.
Work Hours and Environment:
This is a forty (40) hours per calendar week position, fifty-two (52) week per calendar year; provided, however, during the time periods leading up to, during, and immediately following field travel events and major priority projects, additional hours per week may be required.
