Job Description

Graff Lab Studio is a creative, graffiti-inspired art studio specializing in children's birthday parties, workshops, camps, and private events. Our Holtsville studio, established in 2020, is the original Graff Lab location and continues to serve as a key part of our growing business. We are seeking a motivated and reliable Manager in Training (MIT) to join our team at our original Graff Lab Studio location in Holtsville. This is a hands-on, part-time training role designed for individuals interested in developing leadership and operational skills within a creative, event-based environment. Over time, the goal is for this individual to become confident supporting and eventually running studio operations independently when needed. This position does not guarantee promotion, but is designed to build the skills needed for potential advancement into a management role. This role is a great fit for individuals with experience working with children, including camp counselors, educators, or coaches, as well as those interested in gaining experience in small business operations.
Training & Responsibilities:
Learn and operate the studio POS system Assist with daily financial procedures, including deposits Support scheduling, bookings, and event coordination Help manage and execute birthday parties, workshops, and private events Lead and support event staff during events Assist with food service during events Maintain studio cleanliness and organization Support inventory management and supply ordering Assist with coordination of camps, school groups, and studio programs
Qualifications:
Experience working with children required (camp, education, coaching, etc.) Interest in leadership, operations, and team support Strong communication and customer service skills Organized and able to multitask Comfortable working in a hands-on, active environment Reliable, punctual, and able to take initiative
Schedule:
Part-time hours based on studio needs Weekend availability is required Full-time potential
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
