Located in Tribeca and the Upper West Side, Cocoon is committed to inclusivity—each membership helps subsidize prenatal and postpartum programming for families across New York City. Position Overview Cocoon is seeking a warm, organized, and energetic Membership & Operations Associate to support the daily member experience at our Tribeca clubhouse. This part-time role blends front desk operations, membership tours, administrative support, and family events. The Membership & Operations Associate serves as a welcoming presence within the club—supporting members and prospective members, assisting with daily operations, and helping deliver the thoughtful, high-touch experiences Cocoon is known for. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with both children and adults, thrives in a hospitality-focused environment, and is excited to contribute across membership, operations, and events. Key Responsibilities1. Front Desk Operations & Member Experience Welcome members, caregivers, children, guests, and prospective families with warmth and professionalism Support daily front desk operations and help maintain a seamless member experience Respond to member inquiries via email, phone, Zendesk, and in-person communication Assist members with questions related to classes, schedules, enrollment, policies, and general club information Maintain front desk materials, supplies, swag bags, and member-facing inventory Communicate important daily updates and operational notes with the team via Slack Help ensure the club remains clean, organized, and guest-ready throughout each shift 2. Membership Tours & Sales Support Conduct membership tours for prospective families, confidently communicating Cocoon's offerings, values, and membership benefits Serve as a knowledgeable first point of contact for prospective member inquiries Support lead follow-up and enrollment workflows Collaborate with Club leadership to support membership conversion goals and seasonal sales initiatives Represent the Cocoon brand with professionalism, warmth, and enthusiasm 3. Birthday Party Support Support the setup, execution, and breakdown of birthday parties Assist with decorations, food and beverage stations, goodie bags, balloons, and event materials Help maintain a welcoming and organized environment during events Support guest flow and overall family experience in partnership with the Events team Serve food and beverages in accordance with event requirements and safety standards Bring enthusiasm, professionalism, and energy to children's events and family experiences Assist with event reset and maintaining cleanliness of event spaces throughout events Compensation for Birthday Party Support shifts: $30 per hour 4. Safety, Cleanliness & Daily Operations Support Cocoon's health, safety, and supervision procedures Help maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards throughout the clubhouse Support opening, closing, and end-of-day procedures as assigned Assist with inventory management, supply organization, and operational projects Collaborate closely with Membership, Education, Events, and Facilities teams Key Success Factors Warm, friendly, and hospitality-driven approach with children and adults Strong communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Comfortable leading conversations with prospective members and families Ability to balance front desk responsibilities, tours, administrative work, and events Flexible, collaborative, and solutions-oriented mindset Commitment to maintaining Cocoon's elevated standards of service and experience Qualifications 1-3 years of experience in customer service, hospitality, membership services, events, retail, or family-facing environments Experience in hospitality, luxury service, events, memberships, or customer experience strongly preferred Experience with events, front desk operations, or sales support preferred Comfortable learning and using systems such as Slack, Zendesk, Airtable, and scheduling platforms Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Able to remain calm, professional, and solutions-oriented in a busy environment Willing to assist with hands-on responsibilities including setup, organization, inventory, and cleaning Background check required

Flexible Schedule ranging 9:30am - 5:30pm on Tuesday, Friday and weekends.

Tribeca, NYC Compensation:
$25 per hour for Membership & Operations shifts; $30 per hour for Birthday Party Support shifts.
