Burns Saddlery Horseman Traveling Salesperson Location:
Pendleton, OR (Serving Events Nationwide)
Compensation:
$20-$50 per hour DOE +

We're looking for a relationship-driven sales professional to join our Horseman Team and represent the Burns brand at premier horse shows, rodeos, and events across the country. If you're equally comfortable talking horses, helping customers find the perfect gear, and hauling a trailer down the highway, this may be your dream job. What You'll Do Travel to horse shows, rodeos, and events nationwide (typically 2+ events per month) Represent the Burns brand with professionalism, authenticity, and pride Build lasting relationships with horsemen, ranchers, competitors, and Western lifestyle enthusiasts Deliver exceptional one-on-one customer experiences Meet and exceed sales goals through product knowledge and relationship-based selling Set up, merchandise, and manage event displays and trailers Drive and maintain company truck, trailer, and merchandise inventory (CDL required) Follow up with customers and maintain accurate sales records Collaborate with the Burns Horseman Team and participate in meetings and training What We're Looking For Proven sales experience preferred Experience in equestrian, Western, luxury retail, or relationship-based sales is a plus Strong communication and people skills Passion for horses, ranching, rodeo, or the Western lifestyle Self-motivated and comfortable working independently while traveling Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Clean driving record CDL required (or ability to obtain) Willingness to travel frequently and work weekends during event season Why Burns? This role requires being on the road up to 2+ weeks per month including hauling. loading/unloading trailers and working long event days. Are you comfortable with this lifestyle? (e.g. rodeo, barrel racing, ranch work, horse events) How comfortable are you interacting and building relationships with horsemen, equine competitors or ranchers in a show or event setting?
