Job Description

This role is onsite at Philadelphia Distilling in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Schedule:
Wednesday - Sunday with some flexibility based on event schedule. Friday/Saturday evenings and weekends are a must. What the Role Is The Events & Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for the planning and execution of special events as well as the creation and distribution of materials designed to promote Philadelphia Distilling as both a craft spirits tasting room and an event venue. Day-to-day, this role supports the execution of private events and tasting room activations while capturing engaging photo and video content across service, cocktails, culinary offerings, staff, merchandise, and guest experiences. The Events & Marketing Coordinator will assist in developing and distributing compelling content for social media, email campaigns, and other marketing channels to drive brand awareness, engagement, and visitation. This is a collaborative role, working under the direction of the Events & Marketing Operations Manager, along with department heads from the bar, kitchen, retail, and operations to successfully market all programs of the Tasting Room. How You Will Spend Your Time? Support the Events & Marketing Operations Manager in the ongoing development, planning, and execution of in-house and offsite event programs Model exceptional guest service standards while confidently sharing knowledge of the brand and company story Assist in overseeing setup, execution, and breakdown of events to ensure smooth operations and adherence to procedures and brand standards Address guest concerns and feedback in real-time to ensure a high-quality experience Uphold all alcohol service laws and safety policies, including responsible service practices and refusal of service when necessary. Foster a positive, motivated team culture with high morale and strong communication in line with the Spirited Commitment Routinely capture high-quality photo/video content to support promotional and marketing initiatives. Stay up to date on social media trends and recommend relevant opportunities to increase engagement with a wider audience Assist with creating and maintaining a consistent posting schedule to maximize brand visibility and outreach. Develop and disseminate email marketing campaigns aimed to promote the business in accordance with our operations and tasting room goals.
Who You Are Required Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred Minimum two (2) years of hospitality experience in a craft bar/restaurant environment preferably with a focus on event coordination Experience managing social media content in professional setting RAMP certified and familiar with Pennsylvania state liquor regulations Strong knowledge of restaurant operations with experience in front-of-house (FOH) service Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage guests and collaborate effectively with team members. Proficiency in social media and digital application fluency Experience capturing high-quality photography/videography content for social or marketing use. Ability to work well with others and as part of a collaborative team Comfortable working in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment Ability to remain composed, adaptable and solution-focused under pressure Valued but not
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience in craft spirits industry, a tasting room, or spirits tourism environment Experience in marketing, brand development, or other public outreach Experience with graphic design or visual arts Physical Requirements The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
