Location:
Chicago, IL with some Remote work allowed. Employee should plan to be in office 2-3 days per week as a baseline, with more during event periods. Standard commuting costs (mileage, transit, parking) to and from the office are not reimbursed.

This part-time position does not currently offer company-sponsored health insurance or access to retirement plans (e.g., 401k). If necessary, individual will be supplied with a laptop for chapter related work.
Hours:
Exempt, 30 hours per week, flexible schedule
Duties:
- Lead Marketing and PR efforts with goal of attracting more entrants and increase awareness of the chapter and our Awards program. This includes identifying and maintaining a social media calendar.
- Assist in promoting content and activities through the social media channels - Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and oversee external chapter communications (email blasts to members)
- Work directly under Executive Director to understand all chapter work and take on projects assigned. This includes learning all chapter administrative tools and web-based software used for various awards programs, marketing, and accounting (includes Emmy Express, Wordpress, Intuit, etc.)
- Assisting and learning the ins and outs of how to run any/all chapter-related programs, including Chicago/Midwest Emmy Awards, Silver Circle events, seminars, special events and committee-initiated work as needed.
- Work directly with Partnership and Community Development committee to research and contact potential monetary and in-kind sponsorships and secure new ad sales for program books
- Manage the volunteers of the Emmy event with assistance of Volunteer Coordinator
- Help to manage the chapter archives and records
- Research new software to process tickets sales and registration
- Work with Emmy and Judging Committee and help oversee incoming and outgoing judging trades, maintain positive relationships with judging partners. Meet all deadlines
- Work on a potential new model of presenting of student production awards.
Research venues; negotiate contracts; set date for event and publicize. Work with designated producer or company and board. Oversee contractors, volunteers, RSVP's and award items for every detail of the galas.
