Job Description

The D.D. Reckner Co. (est. 1965), a 3rd-generation, family-owned food brokerage serving the Midwest, is looking for a self-motivated, driven experienced foodservice salesperson to fill a new position in our Southern Indiana (Bloomington, Evansville), Western Kentucky territory (Owensboro). Our products are marketed to restaurants, hotels, nursing homes, caterers, hospitals, colleges, universities, and schools K-12 thru Foodservice Distributors.
Job Description:
Part-time, salaried job, number of days weekly is negotiable but generally 8:00 to 5:00. Your primary responsibility would be supporting distributor sales representatives with our brands. You would be working with a team comprised of D.D. Reckner and distributor and manufacturer sales professionals. Some of the duties include working trade shows, speaking at sales meetings and consultative selling to restaurateurs. You will communicate with a distributor's team of salespeople to find opportunities, arrange samples, show the products to the customers, discuss the features and benefits of a product/brand and offer ideas to profitably incorporate our products into their menu. The ultimate goal is to increase sales through creating brand awareness through product demos.
