JOB SUMMARY
The Marketing Coordinator serves as a key support role within the marketing department, helping bring campaigns, events, promotions, and community initiatives to life. This position focuses on assisting with content creation, coordinating marketing materials, supporting events and partnerships, and ensuring projects are executed efficiently across The Bear's Restaurant Group and The Bear's Foundation. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, dependable, and excited to support a fast-paced hospitality and community-focused organization. ____________________________________________________________________________________
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Support Assist with the execution of marketing campaigns, promotions, and seasonal initiatives. Support the creation of social media content, including photos, videos, graphics, and written posts. Help maintain the marketing content calendar and ensure materials are delivered on time. Assist with updating websites, online listings, and digital platforms. Proofread marketing materials for accuracy and brand consistency. Help gather information from restaurant teams for upcoming promotions and campaigns. Partner with operations and marketing teams to support initiatives that enhance the in-store guest experience. Support engagement efforts in the Round Up at the Register program Support the execution and ongoing promotion of the company rewards and loyalty program across all locations. Content & Creative Assistance Capture photos and videos at restaurant locations, community events, and special promotions. Assist in creating graphics, flyers, menus, signage, and promotional materials. Support email marketing efforts by helping prepare content, images, and campaign assets. Organize and maintain digital photo, video, and design libraries. Event & Partnership Support Assist with the preparation and execution of events, fundraisers, sponsorship activations, and community initiatives. Help coordinate event materials including signage, promotional items, registration materials, and giveaways. Attend select events to provide on-site marketing support. Assist with documenting events through photography, videography, and social media content. Coordinate in house events to drive business to each Connecticut location such as live music, activities, instructional classes, charitable events, etc. Administrative Support Help coordinate marketing requests from restaurant locations and internal departments. Assist with ordering promotional materials, apparel, signage, and branded merchandise. Maintain organized records of marketing assets, invoices, sponsorship deliverables, and vendor information. Support reporting efforts by gathering campaign results, engagement metrics, and event attendance information. Prepare recaps, reports, and documentation related to events and projects. Support communication related to employee engagement activities and internal announcements. Support company wide employee culture committee, meeting quarterly with representatives from each department and location. _____________________________________________________________________________________
WORK SCHEDULE
This role's schedule is determined by the needs of the business and is adjusted weekly to accommodate upcoming events requiring the position's presence. On non-event days, the role typically follows standard office hours. The position averages 40 hours per week, depending on workload. Flexibility is essential, as evening, weekend, and holiday availability will be required for event support. Additionally, the role involves participation in large company events outside of regular office hours, contributing to "all hands on deck" efforts to ensure successful execution. Travel to and from events and Bear's locations within the state of Connecticut is required. This position requires full-time onsite presence. Remote work options are not available for this role. ____________________________________________________________________________________
SKILLS REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree or coursework in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Public Relations, or a related field preferred. 1-2 years of marketing, communications, hospitality, or related experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Photography and videography experience. Basic graphic design skills. Familiarity with email marketing platforms. Hospitality, restaurant, nonprofit, or event experience. Experience using CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar creative tools. Comfortable using social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Experience with Canva and basic content creation tools preferred. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Ability to follow direction, prioritize tasks, and support multiple projects simultaneously.
