Job Description
Position Overview 501(c)3 is seeking a creative, organized, and highly motivated Marketing & Events Coordinator to support marketing initiatives, community outreach, and event execution across multiple Texas locations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys storytelling, relationship-building, event coordination, and working within a growing arts nonprofit environment. The role requires flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Compensation & Position Details $40,000 annual compensation Paid monthly Independent contractor / 1099 position Flexible schedule with some evening and weekend event responsibilities Travel required throughout Texas, including: Round Top Brenham San Antonio Additional event and program locations as needed Weekly in-person meetings are held in Brenham or Round Top Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing & Communications Develop and coordinate marketing campaigns for exhibitions, workshops, events, memberships, and fundraising initiatives Create engaging content for social media, newsletters, website updates, and promotional materials Maintain consistent branding and messaging across all communication platforms Assist with photography, video content, and event storytelling Coordinate email marketing campaigns and audience engagement efforts Monitor marketing performance and recommend growth strategies Event Coordination Assist in planning and executing art programs and events, including: Art exhibitions and receptions Workshops and demonstrations Plein air and community art events Donor and member gatherings Fundraising and outreach initiatives Coordinate event logistics, schedules, vendor communication, and volunteer support Support on-site setup, operations, and attendee experience Assist with sponsorship materials, registrations, and event communications Community Engagement & Outreach Build relationships with artists, patrons, sponsors, nonprofits, and local businesses Support membership growth and donor engagement initiatives Help strengthen visibility throughout Texas communities Qualifications Experience in marketing, communications, event coordination, nonprofit administration, or related fields Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a creative environment Proficiency with social media platforms, Canva, email marketing tools, and basic website management Willingness to travel regularly for events and meetings Passion for the arts and community engagement Must have reliable vehicle and computer Preferred Qualifications Experience working with nonprofit organizations is preferred Experience with arts organizations, galleries, museums, or cultural programming is a plus Familiarity with Squarespace, Constant Contact or similar platforms preferred Photography, graphic design, or event production experience is a bonus To apply pease send: Resume Brief cover letter Portfolio or examples of relevant work (if available)
