  • Part-time, Full-time We have an exciting opening for a marketing, events and audience engagement professional to join the Green & Healthy Maine team in Portland.
Position can be either full-time or part-time, depending on skills and experience. The ideal candidate is creative, highly organized and interested in sustainable lifestyles and high-performance, healthy homes in Maine. This varied position plays a key role in the promotion and execution of our publications, events and educational programs. Responsibilities include developing and implementing a robust social media presence for our two primary brands, producing e-newsletters and marketing campaigns, maintaining two websites, coordinating event communications and logistics, and supporting publication production to ensure accuracy, high quality and on-time delivery. In addition, the position is responsible for in-house graphic design and may also include designing ads and other marketing materials. The ideal candidate will be savvy in email marketing and social media for business, and adept at editing and writing engaging, informative and succinct copy. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, is highly desirable. You enjoy wearing many hats, have a positive attitude, are comfortable working independently and as part of a small team, and are committed to delivering excellent customer service and building positive relationships. Interest in sustainability, healthy homes, green building and clean energy is important. Familiarity with Maine's sustainability community is a plus. Green & Healthy Maine is a small, locally-owned and mission-driven media company where every team member plays an important role. Key Responsibilities Marketing & Audience Growth Manage and execute a robust social media calendar across company brands and platforms Create and distribute email newsletters and marketing campaigns Develop engaging content to promote publications, webinars, and events Track and report on marketing performance metrics Events & Programs Coordinate logistics for the Green Home + Energy Show, Green Home + Design Awards and webinar series Manage exhibitor, sponsor and attendee communications Support on-site event operations, including occasional evenings and weekends Publication & Administrative Support Maintain advertising materials and track sales activity Update website content and event information Assist with publication production and quality control processes The Ideal Candidate Required Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail Strong writing, editing and proofreading abilities Experience with email marketing platforms and developing business social media Excellent customer service and communication skills, friendly and positive attitude Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Preferred Experience with large event planning Graphic design experience, particularly Adobe Creative Suite and InDesign Experience managing websites and digital content Knowledge of Maine's sustainability, green building or clean energy sectors Experience with optimizing content for SEO and AI search Why Join Green & Healthy Maine? Compensation :
$25
  • 30 hourly rate, depending on experience, plus health & wellness stipend, PTO and paid holidays.
