In this role, you will be responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with sponsors, identifying new sponsorship opportunities, and supporting the execution of sponsorship programs. Your energetic approach will help amplify our organization's visibility, foster meaningful collaborations, and ensure the successful delivery of sponsorship commitments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while developing your expertise in fundraising, relationship management, and strategic planning.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with current sponsors and partners to ensure ongoing engagement and satisfaction.
Outreach & Solicitation:
Identify potential new sponsors through research, networking, and outreach efforts aligned with organizational goals to support LEAF's festivals and year-round global programming.
Closing & Contracting:
Assist in creating compelling sponsorship proposals and grant applications using provided collateral to manage the process from initial pitch to signed and satisfied agreement.
Renewal Management:
Serve as the point of contact for existing partners, securing their continued support for upcoming seasons.
Account Management & Operations Asset Management:
Collect and organize sponsor logos, taglines, and brand assets. Support public relations efforts by preparing communication materials that highlight sponsor contributions and organizational impact.
Invoicing:
Coordinate with the Business Operations Director to ensure timely invoicing and payment tracking.
Internal Coordination:
Coordinate with internal teams to execute sponsorship agreements, including event planning, promotional activities, social collaborations, and reporting requirements.
Data Integrity:
Manage sponsorship databases and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) to track interactions, deadlines, and deliverables.
Stewardship & Impact Proof of Performance:
Document sponsor recognition (photos, screenshots) to create post-event impact reports.
Festival Presence:
(Preferred) Attend LEAF events to host sponsors and ensure their on-site needs are met. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in sales, fundraising, or corporate relations. Extremely organized; you view a spreadsheet as a map to success. A "no-task-too-small" attitude with a high level of professional polish. Passion for the arts, cultural preservation, and community building. Local to Asheville/WNC or willing to travel at least quarterly preferred.
The Compensation Structure New Business:
10% Commission on the total value of all new sponsorship contracts.
Renewals:
5% Commission on the total value of returning sponsorship contracts.
Bonus Structure:
Once you reach the $100,000 total sponsorship goal for the year, you will receive an additional 5% bonus on all sponsorship revenue generated (New and Renewal) on additional sponsorships ie: 15% of new sponsorships & 10% of renewal sponsorships.
