Wine & Spirits Salesperson (Wholesale)

Growing Omaha based wine and spirits distributor is seeking to hire a salesperson in the Lincoln area. This is a full time position that will start with base plus commission and will transition into full commission pay. A cell phone will be provided as will gas allowance. Health benefits will be available. The qualified candidate will have strong knowledge of the world's wine growing regions including France, Italy, Australia, Argentina, Chile, California, Oregon, Washington and more. Previous sales experience, restaurant experience, or retail experience with an emphasis on wine and spirits is essential. We are looking for a motivated individual that is very organized and goal oriented. Key objectives will be to expand business in the Lincoln area primarily by identifying and opening new accounts (restaurant, bar, and retail). Persistent drive, consistent work ethic and an outgoing demeanor are crucial personality traits. An entreprenuerial spirit is of most importance—the successful candidate will be able to identify and engage prospective new business with very little outside assistance. You must be a self starter. The most qualified candidates will already have a presence and multiple contacts in the Lincoln food and drink community. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are a must as is the ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
