Spartanburg, SC The Health and Wellness Promotions Coordinator ( HWP Coordinator) is responsible for successful implementation of evidence-based well-being programs to support overall student well-being. This Coordinator will collaborate with on and off campus stakeholders to advance holistic student well-being through the facilitation of presentations, trainings, initiatives, events, etc. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Counseling Services, the HWP Coordinator may train, direct, and oversee student workers performing various tasks associated with holistic student well-being. Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience. Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications A master's degree in health education/promotion, public health, nursing, or a related field with at least one year of relevant experience OR a bachelor's degree with three years of experience in health education, public health, nursing, or a related field. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Knowledge of health promotion, prevention, and health education principles, theories, best practices, and applicable student privacy requirements. Ability to develop, implement, assess, and improve health promotion programs, training initiatives, and educational outreach using data-informed and evidence-based practices. Ability to analyze student wellness needs, exercise sound judgment and critical thinking, and address sensitive topics related to student health and well-being. Ability to communicate effectively and establish collaborative relationships with diverse students, faculty, staff, campus partners, and community stakeholders. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Job Duties Job Duty Program Administration and Operations Health and Wellness Promotions Coordinator ( HWP Coordinator) works in concert with other Student Health and Wellness departments and staff, and collaborates with departments and colleagues across campus to support the overall holistic health and wellness of students by sustaining evidence-based and best-practice health promotion strategies designed towards student success and personal development, and to contribute to a healthier and well campus culture. The HWP Coordinator supports our sexual health education resources, interpersonal violence prevention, physical fitness and nutrition priorities, and advises our peer education program. , and related guidelines, the HWP Coordinator manages the planning, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive, campus-wide health promotion strategies, programs, and services within a public health framework and overlaid with our nine Dimensions of Wellness. Develop and deliver wellness-related presentations, workshops, and educational materials Create and implement training curricula for student staff Provide campus-wide health education programming aligned with recognized best practices in college health education Population-level and selected group outreach through both in-person and virtual means, and create culturally inclusive health programs and resources to ensure efforts reach all Upstate students.
