- The Marketing & Retail Sales Coordinator is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day marketing, content, email, wholesale outreach, and retail customer experience needs of Summer Ellis Jewelry.
The ideal candidate is well familiar with Instagram, Canva, email marketing platforms such as Brevo or Mailchimp, Google Sheets and enjoy keeping up with the latest trends on social media. The Summer Ellis Jewelry retail store is open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:30am-5:00pm. The ideal candidate will be available Thursday, Friday, and Saturday every week from 10:30am-5:30pm to open and close the store. This role works primarily under the direction of the Creative Director, who provides brand vision, creative direction, content direction, product storytelling, visual standards, and priorities for execution. The Marketing & Retail Sales Coordinator is expected to take direction well, work carefully within the Summer Ellis brand voice and aesthetic, and help bring creative ideas into practical, finished form. This position is also accountable to the Marketing Manager for assigned KPIs.. The Marketing Manager may review performance metrics, track progress toward goals, and hold the coordinator accountable for agreed-upon marketing, sales, email, social, wholesale, and customer engagement benchmarks. This role requires someone who is visually thoughtful, organized, warm with customers, capable with content creation, and comfortable moving between creative tasks, sales outreach, and in-store customer service. Create and schedule Instagram posts, stories, reels, and other social content as assigned. Take product photos, lifestyle photos, behind-the-scenes content, retail-space content, and simple campaign imagery. Capture short-form video content for Instagram and other social platforms. Use Canva to create graphics, stories, promotional assets, email graphics, and branded social content. Maintain visual consistency with the Summer Ellis Jewelry brand aesthetic. Write or adapt captions using the approved Summer Ellis brand voice. Follow creative direction regarding product emphasis, tone, styling, photography, campaign priorities, and visual presentation. Monitor comments, DMs, and engagement, responding when appropriate or flagging messages for the Creative Director. Help organize and maintain a library of product photography, customer content, campaign assets, and brand materials. Assist with content for launches, promotions, events, holidays, seasonal campaigns, and in-store moments. Understand the difference between content that is merely attractive and content that supports customer trust, brand loyalty, and sales. 30% Email Marketing & Customer Communication Build and send email campaigns in Brevo according to direction from the Creative Director. Help create and format newsletters, product announcements, promotional emails, event emails, launch emails, and follow-up campaigns. Add images, links, product features, and written copy into email templates. Maintain email list hygiene and assist with customer segmentation as assigned. Proofread emails for accuracy, spelling, grammar, tone, broken links, incorrect pricing, and brand consistency. Track basic email performance, including open rates, click rates, unsubscribes, and sales when available. Assist with customer communication related to events, product launches, trunk shows, retail appointments, and promotions. Keep all written communication gracious, polished, clear, and aligned with the Summer Ellis Jewelry voice. Revise email layouts, subject lines, images, or copy as directed by the Creative Director . 20% Wholesale Outreach & Sales Support Research potential wholesale accounts, boutiques, museum shops, gift stores, and retail partners that align with the Summer Ellis Jewelry brand. Maintain an organized list of wholesale prospects, outreach dates, follow-ups, responses, and next steps. Send wholesale introduction emails and follow-up emails using approved copy and direction from the Creative Director. Assist with preparing line sheets, wholesale packets, product information, pricing, brand materials, and buyer communication. Track wholesale outreach KPIs, including number of contacts made, responses received, samples sent, follow-ups completed, and accounts opened. Support the Creative Director in presenting the brand beautifully and consistently to potential wholesale partners. Communicate warmly and professionally with store owners, buyers, and wholesale prospects. Understand the brand well enough to recognize whether a potential wholesale account is a good fit. Follow up consistently without being pushy, careless, or off-brand. Help prepare for wholesale markets, pop-ups, trunk shows, or buyer meetings when needed. 20% Retail Floor & Customer Experience Work from the retail space and assist customers when they come in. Welcome customers warmly and represent Summer Ellis Jewelry with professionalism, grace, and excellent taste. Help customers discover pieces, understand product details, and make confident purchasing decisions. Communicate product stories, materials, care instructions, and styling ideas clearly. Support in-store events, appointments, seasonal displays, and retail promotions. Maintain the retail space so that it feels beautiful, orderly, clean, and on-brand. Notice opportunities for in-store content, customer questions, product feedback, and merchandising improvements. Share customer insights with the Creative Director. Assist with packaging, simple retail transactions, customer follow-up, and light store support as needed. Balance customer service with marketing tasks during retail hours. 20% Marketing Administration, KPI Tracking & Team Support Attend creative and marketing meetings as needed. Come prepared with updates, questions, completed assignments, and current task status. Track assigned KPIs and report progress to the Marketing Manager as requested. Keep KPI records organized, current, and accurate. Use shared systems, spreadsheets, calendars, or project management tools to keep tasks organized. Follow timelines for campaigns, launches, emails, social posts, wholesale outreach, and retail events. Receive feedback well and make revisions promptly. Take direction from the Creative Director regarding visuals, messaging, voice, priorities, and brand presentation. Coordinate KPI reporting with the Marketing Manager without shifting creative direction or daily supervision away from the Creative Director. Maintain confidentiality around sales, customers, strategy, vendors, wholesale relationships, and business operations. Help ensure that marketing materials are accurate, polished, and consistent across all channels. 10% Key Performance Indicators This role should be held accountable to clear, measurable goals. KPIs may be reviewed by the Marketing Manager, while the work itself remains directed by the Creative Director.

Growth in Instagram engagement, reach, saves, comments, shares, and profile visits. Number of usable product or lifestyle photos captured each week. Number of email campaigns built, proofed, and sent on schedule. Email open rates, click rates, unsubscribes, and sales attributed to email campaigns. Number of wholesale accounts researched weekly. Number of wholesale outreach emails sent weekly. Number of wholesale follow-ups completed. Number of wholesale responses, leads, or new accounts generated. Retail sales support during scheduled hours. Customer feedback and quality of in-store experience. Accuracy, timeliness, and completion of assigned marketing tasks. Ability to stay on-brand across social, email, wholesale, and customer-facing communication.

Strong visual eye and good taste. Ability to take beautiful, useful product photos with a phone or camera. Comfortable creating simple, polished graphics in Canva.
