The Marketing Coordinator supports the execution and maintenance of marketing programs designed to enhance the visibility of participating Northwest Grocers (NWG) stores. This role assists in managing store marketing profiles across digital channels, including social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant channels, as well as supporting updates to store websites where applicable. In addition, this position helps support other digital marketing efforts, including newsletters and customer engagement initiatives, to effectively communicate store promotions, events, and brand messaging within the communities they serve. This is an entry-level role focused on execution, coordination, and day-to-day marketing support, with opportunities to grow into program development over time. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in building experience in digital marketing within the grocery retail industry.Objective:
The primary objective of the Marketing Coordinator is to support efforts that enhance the visibility and reputation of NWG retail grocery stores within their local communities. This role contributes to increasing customer engagement and store traffic by helping maintain a consistent and engaging digital presence across social media, email, and website platforms. Working under the direction of the Marketing Specialist, this position assists in executing marketing initiatives that strengthen store-level branding and community connection, while supporting the overall profile of Northwest Grocers.Responsibilities:
Social Media Management Support the execution and day-to-day management of social media across store websites and social APPS Coordinate with participating stores to gather content and maintain consistent, relevant postings Monitor and respond to customer comments and messages in a timely and professional manner Track basic performance metrics and assist in evaluating campaigns Stay informed on social media trends and platform updatesto support Content Coordination Maintain and execute a content calendar aligned with promotional and marketing initiatives Coordinate with stores and vendor partners to gather assets for social media and marketing use Assist in creating and editing copy for social media posts, newsletters, and website updates Ensure content is accurate, timely, and aligned with brand standards Website Content Support Maintain and update store websites with current promotions, events, and key information, while supporting website development, maintenance, and creation as needed. Ensure accuracy and consistency across digital platforms Support store websites with changes needed Reporting and Analysis Track and compile performance data across social media, website traffic, and email campaigns Assist in preparing reports and summaries to support marketing decisions Identify basic trends and review with Specialist Promotions and Campaign Execution Support the execution of marketing campaigns tied to store promotions and events Coordinate campaign details to ensure alignment across platforms Monitor campaigns and assist in making changes based on performance and feedback Market Awareness Stay informed on grocery, retail, and digital marketing trends Assist in gathering competitive insights and customer engagement observations Support the team with research that contributes to campaign planning Collaboration Coordinate with stores to gather content and support marketing execution Work with internal teams on marketing initiatives Assist in coordinating with external partners and vendors as neededQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Minimum 1 year experience in website management, social media management and digital marketing. Ability to create and manage content calendars and execute campaigns Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices. Strong written communication skills. Comfortable interpreting basic performance data. Creative mindset with the ability to generate marketing ideas. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines. Self-starter who can follow direction but take initiative on execution details. Experience in retail, grocery, or food related industry strongly preferred.Pay:
