Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Director of Sales to lead our sales strategy at one of our 122 room Marriott Property. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate hospitality leader who thrives on building relationships, driving revenue, and leading high-performing teams. What You'll Do Lead, mentor, and inspire. Drive revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives across corporate, group, and SMERF segments Oversee the full sales cycle: prospecting, client engagement, negotiations, and closing Maximize room and catering revenues to meet and exceed budgeted goals Strengthen existing client relationships while aggressively pursuing new business opportunities Analyze market trends, performance data, and competitive positioning to refine strategies Collaborate closely with Operations to ensure seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences Maintain strong presence on property, with active involvement in key client events and site visits What We're Looking For 5-8 years of progressive hotel sales experience, with Director-level leadership required Experience in large-scale properties (300+ rooms)—resort experience strongly preferred Proven success driving group and catering revenue in a high-volume environment Strong background in Corporate & SMERF markets Exceptional leadership, communication, and team development skills Advanced selling and negotiation skills (opening, probing, closing, and relationship building) Ability to analyze data, identify opportunities, and implement revenue-driving strategies Highly organized, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Work Environment and Context Work schedule varies and may include occasional holidays and weekends. Requires sitting for extended periods, lifting up to 10 pounds, and moderate travel between the resort and client locations.
