We are seeking a compassionate, results-driven Business Development Manager to help Family Matters In-Home Care's presence grow in the region. The right candidate will be the driving force behind our agency's growth by establishing and nurturing vital relationships within the healthcare and senior care community. The primary focus will be on generating a consistent flow of qualified client referrals through proactive outreach and engagement with potential referral partners. You will be responsible for building trust, educating professionals about the benefits of Family Matters In-Home Care, and ultimately converting these relationships into valuable client referrals. What You'll Do Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, senior care professionals, and community leaders. Represent Family Matters through in-person meetings, networking events, presentations, and follow-up outreach. Identify and generate new referral sources—even in highly competitive or low-activity markets. Navigate healthcare facilities effectively and reach decision-makers with confidence. Consistently meet and exceed referral and revenue targets. Work independently in the field with strong time management and accountability. Who You Are A natural connector with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. An excellent communicator—clear, persuasive, and confident in both written and verbal communication. Proven success in a sales role, ideally within the healthcare or home care industry. Motivated, persistent, and results-driven, with a passion for helping others. Energetic, proactive, and enthusiastic about creating new opportunities. Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to following through. Adaptable and quick to adjust strategies in response to feedback and market conditions. Professional, ethical, and always representing the company with integrity. Preferred Qualifications Experience building referral relationships in competitive senior care or healthcare markets. Confidence in navigating healthcare environments and engaging gatekeepers. Skilled at proactive lead generation and business development. Comfortable working independently in a field-based role with minimal supervision. Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in healthcare leadership, marketing/care management. 3+ years of experience in home care, healthcare, or hospice (marketing/sales experience or care management roles). Proven track record in referral development and relationship building. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with emotional intelligence. Detail-oriented and adaptable with strong organizational skills. Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally in San Mateo and Santa Clara County. Why Join Family Matters In-Home Care? Pay Range:
Annual compensation Base salary: $75,000 - $90,000, depending on experience, plus a performance-based incentive plan designed to reward top performers meaningfully. This is a role where your results directly drive your income. High-performing Business Development Managers have the opportunity to earn well above base through a commission structure tied to referral volume and revenue growth.
