About the Role As our Sales Manager, you'll lead, coach, and develop a team of sales professionals while driving the dealership's sales performance and customer satisfaction goals. You'll be a hands-on leader — present on the floor, invested in your team's growth, and focused on creating an environment where people want to come to work. What You'll Do Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales associates, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and mutual respect Drive new and used vehicle sales volume and profitability while maintaining Glendale Nissan's standards for customer experience Conduct regular training, coaching sessions, and team meetings that build skills and morale Partner with the General Manager on inventory strategy, pricing, and merchandising Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing actionable feedback to your team Ensure every customer interaction reflects our commitment to honesty, respect, and a no-pressure buying experience Resolve customer concerns with professionalism and a problem-solving mindset Recruit, interview, and help build out a team that fits our culture What We're Looking For 3+ years of automotive sales management experience (or equivalent senior sales leadership experience in a dealership environment) A proven track record of meeting sales goals while maintaining strong CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) scores Genuine leadership instincts — someone who leads by example, gives credit to their team, and takes ownership when things go wrong Strong understanding of dealership operations, F&I processes, and inventory management Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with both team members and customers A valid California driver's license and clean driving record Bilingual (English/Armenian, Spanish, or other languages common in the Glendale community) is a strong plus Why You'll Want to Stay We know that turnover in this industry is often a symptom of burnout, lack of support, or feeling like just another number.
