We are seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, and results-driven Regional Business Development & Community Outreach Manager to own and execute our local growth strategy across Southern California. This individual will serve as the face of our organization in the community, building strategic partnerships, managing referral relationships, developing local marketing initiatives, creating business-to-business opportunities, and driving measurable patient acquisition through grassroots marketing efforts. This is not a traditional marketing role. We are looking for someone who can think strategically, execute independently, build meaningful relationships, and directly contribute to clinic growth. Position Overview The Regional Business Development & Community Outreach Manager will be responsible for developing, executing, and managing all community outreach, partnership development, business networking, event planning, and referral growth initiatives across six clinic locations. This role requires frequent travel throughout Southern California and significant time spent in the field building relationships with local businesses, fitness organizations, healthcare providers, community leaders, and referral partners. The ideal candidate understands that growth happens through relationships and consistently seeks opportunities to expand brand awareness and generate qualified patient leads and has a passion for the health, fitness and wellness space! Primary ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Strategic Partnerships Identify, develop, and maintain strategic partnerships throughout all assigned territories Build relationships with: Gym owners and fitness facilities Personal trainers and fitness coaches Golf courses and country clubs Physical therapy clinics Chiropractic offices Recovery and wellness centers Sports organizations Corporate wellness programs Local business owners Community organizations Healthcare professionals Networking groups and chambers of commerce Develop referral partnerships that generate measurable patient growth Conduct regular partner meetings and follow-up visits Create and execute territory-specific growth strategies Maintain an active pipeline of new partnership opportunities Partnership Management & Growth This role is responsible for ensuring all referral partnerships remain active, engaged, productive, and profitable.
Responsibilities include:
Managing existing referral relationships Conducting routine partner check-ins Monitoring referral activity and performance Identifying underperforming partnerships and implementing improvement strategies Providing partners with updated marketing materials Educating partners on services, promotions, and new offerings Developing strategies to increase referral volume from existing partners Maintaining detailed records of partner engagement and performance Affiliate Program & Referral Tracking Management Create and manage affiliate and referral programs Develop unique partner-specific promotional codes Generate and maintain QR code tracking systems Monitor referral source performance Analyze conversion metrics and referral effectiveness Identify top-performing partnerships and opportunities for expansion Present affiliate and referral performance reports to leadership Assist in developing promotional campaigns and referral incentives Corporate Wellness & Business Outreach Identify local employers and business organizations for partnership opportunities Present employee wellness programs to businesses and executive teams Develop corporate wellness initiatives Create preferred pricing and employee benefit partnerships Build relationships with HR departments, business owners, and leadership teams Establish recurring referral channels through local employer partnerships Assist in developing customized wellness offerings for business groups Community Outreach & Event Management Research and secure participation in: Health fairs Golf tournaments Community festivals Fitness expos Charity events Networking events Chamber events Sporting events Corporate wellness events Coordinate all event logistics Set up and manage booth activations Coordinate staffing needs with clinic leadership Ensure maximum lead capture and follow-up processes Represent the organization professionally at all community events Territory Planning & Market Analysis Conduct weekly and monthly market research Analyze competitor activity and local market trends Identify new growth opportunities within each territory Develop quarterly territory growth plans Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership Create actionable business development plans for each market Evaluate ROI from partnerships, events, and outreach initiatives Marketing Material Management Maintain marketing inventory throughout all territories Ensure partner locations remain stocked with brochures and promotional materials Coordinate flyer distribution and event marketing materials Assist with promotional campaigns and local advertising efforts Ensure brand consistency throughout all partner locations and events Reporting & Accountability Maintain daily activity logs and outreach tracking Complete daily check-ins with leadership Submit weekly performance reports Present monthly business development and market analysis reports Maintain accurate records of: Businesses visited Partnerships established Meetings completed Events attended Leads generated Referral activity Follow-up efforts Growth opportunities identified Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Success in this role will be measured by: Business Development New partnerships established Active partnerships maintained Corporate accounts secured Referral partner growth Lead Generation Qualified leads generated Event-generated leads Referral-generated leads Corporate wellness leads Partnership Performance Referral volume by partner QR code utilization Promotional code usage Conversion rates by referral source Territory Growth Market penetration Community engagement Brand visibility Revenue contribution from local initiatives Accountability Outreach activity completed Reporting consistency Strategic planning effectiveness Follow-through and execution QualificationsRequired 2+ years of business development, sales, community outreach, partnership management, marketing, or related experience Strong networking and relationship-building skills Excellent communication and presentation abilities Highly organized and self-motivated Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Reliable transportation and willingness to travel extensively throughout Southern California Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and reporting tools Preferred Healthcare industry experience Wellness industry experience Fitness industry experience Event marketing experience B2B sales experience Corporate wellness experience Existing Southern California business network Who Will Thrive in This Role?
