Are you a motivated sales professional who thrives on building relationships, uncovering new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth? We are seeking an energetic Sales Manager to join our leadership team at a full-service hotel located in the Oakland/Alameda area. Position Summary The Sales Manager is responsible for generating room revenue, meeting and event business, and developing long-term partnerships within the corporate, airline, sports, entertainment, government, and group travel segments. This role focuses on proactive sales efforts, account management, and achieving hotel revenue goals. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets. Prospect and secure new corporate, group, and local business accounts. Conduct outside sales calls, site tours, and client presentations. Manage and grow existing accounts through relationship-building and exceptional service. Respond to RFPs, negotiate contracts, and close business opportunities. Collaborate with hotel operations teams to ensure successful event and guest experiences. Attend networking events, trade shows, and community functions to promote the hotel. Maintain accurate sales activity and account information in CRM systems. Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and business opportunities. Participate in weekly revenue and sales strategy meetings. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of hotel sales experience preferred. Full-service hotel experience strongly preferred. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems. Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment. Local market knowledge of Oakland/Alameda/Berkeley is a plus.
