Supervises all sales and merchant activities throughout the assigned retail area or cegory. Works with the Operions Manager to ensure proper scheduling, staffing coverage and training of team members within the assigned sales area. Plans and executes all corpore service and sales programs, product promotions and other events. Proactively identifies opportunities to resolve customer problems and concerns. Follows up with customers to ensure their problems are resolved. Communices any outstanding problem resolution issues with the Experience Manager. Understands and articules all MCX value stories, programs and promotions. Strongly promotes the cultivion of MCX corpore culture, mission and core values the store level and engages with all leaders and associes through conversions, modeling behaviors, supporting store team-centric initiives and driving team member sisfaction. Takes advantage of all training opportunities to develop selling skills in product cegories. Works with team members to develop their product knowledge within the cegory. Remains committed to learning about the brands and products th we sell within the store. Educes customers on product questions and provides suggestions when needed. Relays customer comments and concerns to Store Manager. Partners with the Brand Integrity representive, Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager on upcoming floor sets, visual displays and planogram planning. Becomes an active partner to the Brand Integrity representive during floor sets and floor changes. Ensures assigned sales area is merchandised to brand standards with proper product placement. Communices product outs to Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager. Identifies opportunities to produce add-on sales through consultive and suggestive selling processes. Ensures all sale, ad and promotional items are signed and placed according to brand standards. Ensures all product displays and planograms are signed and labeled according to brand standards. Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupional illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immedie supervisor. Supervises employees to include:
assigning and distributing work, scheduling, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave; recommending and completing personnel actions; completing performance reviews and signing timecards; training employees. Must be alert to alcohol abuse, and take approprie action. Assists in developing and ensuring the implemention and control of an adeque, effective and approprie training plan for all personnel. Participes in all corpore-led training programs and works with Store Manager to set training goals and manage training compliance and learning transfer. Promotes employee training and skills development learning plans. Plays an integral role in store leadership development initiives. Connects required training to performance and skills gaps. Strongly promotes the cultivion of MCX corpore culture, mission and core values the store level and engages with all leaders and team members through conversions, modeling behaviors, supporting store team-centric initiives and driving team member sisfaction.
Has key holder responsibility:
opening and closing stores and receiving products. May require food handling safety training, handling and certificion. May require training and handling of Western Union and other customer services offered. May require light custodial duties, light lifting of merchandise, stocking, setting planograms, price changes, inventory counts and corrections. Performs other duties as assigned. The incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 20lbs independently and objects over 20lbs with assistance.
QUALIFICATIONS
BACHELOR¿S DEGREE from an accredited college or university in a reled field approprie to work of the position, OR an approprie combinion of educion and experience th demonstres possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to th gained in the above, OR
THREE YEARS
of practical experience th demonstres th the applicant has acquired the knowledge, skills, and abilities equivalent to th gained in the above. Experience working within a sales/selling environment required. One year of experience working in a supervisory role within a sales/selling environment is preferred. Advanced selling skills and techniques and product merchandising skills required. Ability to train opering standards and procedures for service, service recovery, sales leadership and store brand as well as work within the position to execute these standards properly and coach others within the team to do so with a high degree of skill and confidence. Ability to work in a high-performance mosphere with commitment to service goals. Ability to multi-task with high quality follow-up and holding teams accountable to results.
