Position Summary The Director of Sales is a key leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic sales initiatives, and leading the hotel's sales efforts. This position will focus on building strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and positioning the property for success within the local and regional market. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue goals Lead, mentor, and support the sales team to drive performance and accountability Identify, prospect, and secure new business through outside and inside sales efforts Maintain and grow relationships with key accounts, corporate clients, and partners Conduct market analysis to identify trends and new revenue opportunities Collaborate with marketing and revenue management to align strategies Conduct sales calls, site tours, and client presentations Negotiate contracts and successfully close business Track sales performance, pipeline, and customer interactions using CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) Prepare regular reports on sales activity, forecasts, and results Represent the hotel at networking events, trade shows, and in the community Ensure accurate account management and reporting systems are maintained Qualifications 5-10+ years of hotel sales experience required Previous leadership or Director-level experience preferred Strong background in group, corporate, and local account sales Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills Strong leadership and team management abilities Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to adapt strategies based on market trends Willingness to travel locally for sales calls and industry events Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred Equivalent experience will be considered Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Employee discounts Why Join Us This is an exciting opportunity to take a leadership role in driving the success of a well-established hotel.
