Full-Time | Exempt Job Overview A growing transportation and commercial vehicle organization is seeking an experienced Fleet Truck Sales Manager to lead and scale its used truck sales operation. This leadership role is responsible for driving sales performance, inventory strategy, profitability, operational execution, and team development across medium and heavy-duty commercial truck inventory. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience in commercial truck sales, dealership operations, or transportation equipment sales, along with a proven ability to manage inventory, pricing strategy, CRM accountability, and high-performing sales teams. Duties Lead daily operations of the used truck sales department Manage inventory acquisition through trade-ins, auctions, fleet relationships, and wholesale channels Oversee pricing strategy, merchandising, inventory aging, and profitability Drive sales growth while improving inventory turn and operational efficiency Partner cross-functionally with service, operations, finance, and leadership teams Ensure CRM accuracy, pipeline visibility, forecasting, and reporting discipline Recruit, coach, and develop sales personnel Conduct pipeline reviews, inventory audits, and performance evaluations Maintain strong relationships with customers, dealers, fleet operators, and wholesale partners Ensure compliance with all applicable vehicle sales and documentation requirements Skills 5+ years of experience in: Fleet sales Truck dealership operations Transportation equipment sales Related commercial vehicle leadership roles Strong knowledge of Class 5-8 commercial truck markets and valuation trends Proven success managing inventory, margins, and sales performance Experience leading and developing sales teams Strong CRM, reporting, and operational management skills Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical abilities Valid driver's license required CDL preferred but not required Preferred Skills Medium and heavy-duty truck dealership operations Auction purchasing and wholesale remarketing Fleet lifecycle management and lease return processes KPI-driven sales environments Exposure to CRM automation and sales technology platforms
