Job Description:
The Sales Manager is responsible for supervising the sales team and driving revenue growth across wholesale and retail channels. This role oversees incoming purchase orders, manages wholesaler accounts, and ensures customers are updated on lead times and product availability. This position works closely with the marketing team to develop product descriptions and implement new sales strategies. The Sales Manager is also responsible for expediting shipping, ensuring orders go out on schedule, and planning for future demand. Additionally, this role includes training new sales staff, monitoring team performance, and generating reports through an ERP system.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the sales team to ensure performance goals are met
- Oversee incoming purchase orders and manage wholesaler accounts
- Communicate with customers regarding lead times and product availability
- Coordinate with operations to ensure timely and accurate shipping
- Track and report sales performance using ERP systems (NetSuite)
- Train and onboard new sales team members; provide ongoing coaching
- Collaborate with marketing on product descriptions, campaigns, and sales strategies
- Support marketing efforts including digital media, promotions, and content creation
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and campaign effectiveness
- Provide recommendations on product offerings based on market data
- Assist in developing sales programs and promotions to drive growth
- Participate in trade shows and marketing events as needed
- Support creation and maintenance of product information and marketing assets
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
- Experience with digital marketing, social media platforms, and content strategy
- Knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, or email marketing tools (e.g., MailChimp)
- Experience in product marketing, branding, or campaign development
- Familiarity with photography, video production, or creative tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)
- Experience in a manufacturing, automotive, or aftermarket industry
Required Experience/Qualifications:
