This role combines operational leadership, team development, financial management, and guest experience oversight to deliver a safe, high-energy, and memorable entertainment environment. The GM owns all aspects of the facility's performance, including revenue growth, cost control, staff engagement, safety compliance, and brand execution. This individual serves as the face of the location within the community and ensures that every guest interaction reflects Slick City's standards of fun, safety, and service excellence. Core Responsibilities1. Operational Leadership Direct and oversee all day-to-day operations of the park, including: Slide attractions and activity zones Front desk and admissions Retail and concessions Birthday parties and private events Ensure seamless daily execution of opening, mid-shift, and closing procedures Monitor facility readiness, ensuring all attractions are fully operational and properly staffed Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all departments Continuously evaluate operational efficiency and implement improvements Manage facility maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs with vendors Ensure cleanliness standards are consistently upheld across all guest and employee areas 2. Team Leadership & Talent Development Lead full-cycle staffing operations, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retention Develop and maintain optimal staffing levels based on business demand and seasonality Train team members on customer service standards, safety procedures, and operational protocols Supervise and mentor assistant managers, supervisors, and frontline staff Conduct regular team meetings, coaching sessions, and performance evaluations Create development plans and identify high-potential employees for advancement Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, inclusion, and high performance Address employee concerns, conflicts, and disciplinary actions in a professional manner Ensure compliance with all labor laws and company HR policies 3. Guest Experience Excellence Champion a guest-first culture that prioritizes safety, engagement, and satisfaction Actively monitor guest interactions and intervene when necessary to elevate service quality Handle escalated guest concerns, complaints, or incidents with professionalism and urgency Ensure staff delivers friendly, energetic, and helpful service at all touchpoints Oversee party and event execution to ensure a seamless and memorable experience Maintain strong visibility on the floor during peak hours to engage with guests and support staff Implement feedback systems and use guest insights to drive improvements 4. Financial & Business Performance Own full P&L responsibility for the location Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans Monitor key financial metrics, including: Revenue and sales growth Labor cost percentages Cost of goods sold (COGS) Operating expenses Drive revenue through: Admissions optimization Upselling memberships, packages, and add-ons Increasing birthday party and group bookings Local partnerships and promotions Analyze business trends and implement strategies to improve profitability Oversee cash handling procedures, daily deposits, and financial reporting accuracy Ensure inventory control for concessions, retail, and supplies 5. Safety, Risk Management & Compliance Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to all company safety standards Conduct regular inspections of attractions, equipment, and facility infrastructure Ensure all staff are trained and certified in safety procedures and emergency protocols Monitor and enforce proper use of attractions by guests Respond to incidents, injuries, or emergencies quickly and effectively Complete accurate incident reports and follow all reporting procedures Ensure compliance with: Local, state, and federal regulations Health and safety codes Fire and occupancy requirements Coordinate with regulatory agencies and inspectors as needed 6. Sales, Marketing & Community Engagement Execute local marketing initiatives in alignment with corporate strategy Build relationships with schools, youth organizations, sports teams, and community groups Promote birthday parties, corporate events, and group bookings Partner with marketing teams on promotions, social media campaigns, and outreach efforts Analyze local market trends and identify growth opportunities Represent Slick City at community events and networking opportunities Drive brand awareness and customer loyalty within the local market 7. Facility & Asset Management Oversee maintenance and upkeep of all equipment, attractions, and facility infrastructure Schedule preventative maintenance and track repair timelines Manage vendor relationships for maintenance, cleaning, and supplies Ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards Monitor utility usage and implement cost-saving initiatives where possible. 8. Administrative & Reporting Duties Maintain accurate operational and financial records Prepare and submit reports on performance metrics, incidents, staffing, and revenue Utilize company systems for scheduling, payroll, and reporting Ensure documentation is complete, organized, and compliant with company policies Communicate regularly with regional leadership regarding performance and needs
