Full-Time, Exempt Position Overview A well-established commercial general contractor is seeking a results-driven Director of Business Development to expand its presence in the Denver metro / Front Range market. This role is focused on building strategic relationships, identifying new project opportunities, and driving sustainable revenue growth. This position is ideal for a professional who is well-connected in the local market, understands the commercial construction landscape, and excels in a relationship-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Business Development & Growth Develop and leverage a strong network of developers, owners, brokers, and industry partners Identify and secure new project opportunities within the Colorado market Engage early with clients and partners to position the company for upcoming work Drive strategic growth initiatives aligned with company objectives Pipeline Management Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities to meet revenue targets Track and manage leads, pursuits, and client interactions within CRM systems Provide market intelligence and insights to support leadership decision-making Pursuit Strategy & Execution Collaborate with preconstruction, estimating, and operations teams on pursuit strategies Support proposal development, client presentations, and interview processes Help differentiate the company in competitive procurement environments Market Engagement Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and community organizations Stay informed on regional development trends, upcoming projects, and market conditions Build relationships across all levels of client organizations, including executive leadership Qualifications 5+ years of experience in business development within commercial construction or a related industry Established network within the Denver / Front Range market strongly preferred Proven track record of generating new business and converting leads into awarded projects Strong understanding of construction processes, delivery methods, and project lifecycles Experience working cross-functionally with preconstruction and operations teams Proficiency with CRM tools and pipeline tracking Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities Work Environment Mix of office, client-facing, and field activities Regular local travel for meetings, events, and job site visits Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid time off and holidays Life and disability insurance Optional supplemental benefits About the Company This well-established commercial construction firm has built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects and fostering long-term client relationships.
