This role is responsible for driving sales growth, managing customer relationships, generating quotes, and coordinating orders to ensure exceptional service across a large portfolio of active accounts. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, and customer-focused, with strong communication skills and a passion for achieving sales targets. Responsibilities Prepare and follow up on daily quotes , ensuring fast turnaround, accuracy, competitive pricing, and strong margins. Proactively pursue new business and expand existing accounts to increase sales volume. Coordinate order processing and delivery schedules with the warehouse team to ensure on-time and accurate fulfillment . Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and provide a high level of service to maintain satisfaction and retention. Manage special orders and buyouts , including sourcing materials, pricing, and tracking deliveries. Maintain accurate records of quotes, orders, and customer interactions. Collaborate with sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations and customer success. Monitor market conditions, pricing trends, and competitor activity within the steel industry . Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and performance metrics. Skills & Qualifications Experience in steel, metals, building materials, or industrial distribution sales preferred. Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Knowledge of quoting, pricing strategies, and customer service practices. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-volume environment. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to achieve results.
