We are seeking an experienced, highly connected business development professional to help expand our dealer network, grow strategic accounts, and drive market share throughout Florida and targeted national markets. This is not an account management position. This is not an inside sales position. This is not a customer service role. We are looking for a proven hunter who has built relationships, opened doors, developed territories, and consistently generated revenue growth throughout the architectural doors, millwork, building products, construction, or related industries. If you already have relationships with builders, architects, dealers, distributors, millwork companies, or commercial contractors, we want to speak with you. Position Summary The Director of Business Development will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities while expanding Timberland's market presence and dealer network. This individual will serve as the face of the company in the marketplace and play a key role in the organization's growth strategy. Success will be measured by revenue growth, new account acquisition, dealer development, and strategic relationship expansion. Primary Responsibilities Business Development Develop and execute territory growth strategy. Identify and secure new dealer relationships. Open new builder, contractor, and commercial accounts. Expand market penetration throughout assigned territory. Develop relationships with architects and designers. Generate specification opportunities for Timberland products. Strategic Account Growth Identify high-value growth opportunities. Develop long-term account plans. Expand revenue within existing accounts. Build executive-level customer relationships. Market Expansion Identify new geographic opportunities. Develop channel partnerships. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions. Voice of the Customer Communicate market feedback. Identify product opportunities. Monitor competitive activity. Assist leadership with market positioning initiatives.
Qualifications Required:
Minimum 3 years of business development experience. Experience selling doors, millwork, windows, building products, architectural products, construction products, or related industries. Proven record of opening new accounts. Demonstrated success growing territory revenue. Strong network within the building products industry. Ability to travel throughout assigned markets.
Preferred:
Existing dealer relationships. Existing builder relationships. Existing architect and design community relationships. Experience selling premium or custom products.
