Field-Based (On the Road) Position Summary Designer Greetings, one of the largest greeting card publishers in North America, is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to support and grow our business across the Tampa and Fort Myers market. This role is responsible for managing and expanding existing accounts, overseeing store-level execution through merchandisers, and driving new business development within the independent grocery, drug, and specialty retail channels. Essential Functions Secure orders from existing and prospective customers through regular in-person visits within the assigned territory Develop and expand relationships with key customer stakeholders (purchasing, store management, and operations) Oversee and support assigned service merchandisers to ensure greeting card departments are properly maintained and merchandised Identify and pursue new business opportunities; prepare and present proposals to prospective clients Follow up on submitted quotes through phone and in-person engagement Maintain consistent call cycle and territory coverage Provide monthly territory sales forecasts and updates Monitor market trends and competitor activity and report insights to leadership Additional Responsibilities Maintain strong communication with the VP of Sales regarding territory performance and growth opportunities Perform additional duties as assigned in support of business objectives Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in wholesale or retail sales, merchandising, or business development Prior experience in greeting cards, gift, or related industries preferred Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and accountability Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment Ability to meet physical job requirements, including lifting, standing, and walking Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory

Compensation & Benefits Salary:

$45,000
