POSITION SUMMARY SEKISUI SPR
Americas, LLC (SSPRA) is a distributor of structural pipeline rehabilitation lining systems for sewer, culvert, and storm water pipe applications, located in Austell, GA. SSPRA is part of a global network of companies specializing in trenchless infrastructure repair solutions worldwide. Supported by our corporate office, SEKISUI Chemical Corporation in Japan, SSPRA provides engineered product solutions to government and consulting firms for projects in the United States and Canada. Products we sell : Sewer Pipe Rehabilitation using our spiral wound technologies, including:
  • SPR-EX
  • SPR-TF
  • SPR-TM The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for developing and increasing sales for our products (as specified below), expediting market penetration, identifying and developing new prospects, bid opportunities, potential new licensees, and coordinating these leads internally as required.
Please note that this position is NOT a classic sales position but more of a business development position. Primary responsibilities of this position include the following :
  • Understand SEKISUI's Corporate objectives and SSPRA's business objectives (3-year plan) and develop and execute strategic business plans to meet those objectives for your region
  • Understand industry drivers, initiatives, key trends as well as environmental and legal factors such as consent decrees influencing funding of key projects and programs
  • Identify decision makers in target regions/agencies, the programs and what it will take to get the products approved and included in their specifications
  • Promote SSPRA's technologies and negotiate specifications with end users/agencies ahead of project bidding processes
  • Maintain project tracking list by agency and project with forecasted footage with win/loss records using Salesforce and other reporting tools (Excel based)
  • Forecast sales volumes monthly and in increments up to annual budgets
  • Understands public works construction, industry practices and trends as it relates to business development and growth initiatives
  • Understand municipal contracting and the competitive bidding process
  • Ability to conduct market research and identify projects and programs that will support corporate growth initiatives
  • Understands basic engineering concepts, project bid documents, including plans and specifications, and ability to summarize information for management and operations review
  • Effectively interface with all levels of management and departments including marketing, sales, operations, engineering and finance
  • Make cold calls to prospect for new business
  • Participate in and plan conferences, trade shows and industry events
  • Present Product Engineering and/or Case Studies of executed projects on conferences
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma, required and 4-year Business degree, strongly preferred
  • Prior experience as either a division sales manager or regional sales manager required
  • Documented sales success in municipal utility projects is helpful and preferred. The candidate shall showcase his experience level with municipal utility projects.
  • Experience and knowledge of leading trenchless technologies for sewer, culvert and storm water rehabilitation (preferred)
  • Strong computer skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Programs and Salesforce
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving, organizational and time management skills
  • Experience in sales of sewer-related trenchless pipe rehabilitation technologies (preferred)
  • Good knowledge and understanding of pipe rehabilitation and/or general infrastructure contracts in municipal context
  • Ability and proven track record of introducing technical specifications to end users (i.e. municipal agencies, private industry, engineering firms, etc.)
  • Ability to work with a team of Regional Sales Managers on a national level
  • Ability to travel and present company's portfolio with emphasis and motivation to have our products specified in contracts
  • Ability to forecast sales on monthly basis and adjust sales projections in the dedicated region
  • Ability to negotiate and finalize licenses with new customers
  • experience with contracts preferred, including ability to make modifications to agreements to the mutual benefit of company and customer
  • Disciplined reporting attitude on weekly, monthly, quarterly and half yearly basis using the provided formats and software
  • Possess a strong customer focus and the ability to develop solutions for customer needs
  • Ability to consistently achieve on time and on budget objectives
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Ability to work from your home office located within the Eastern USA region as assigned. Located in the metro Atlanta, GA area is preferred.
  • Ability to spend up to 80% of your working time traveling on the road visiting potential customers, current customers, making presentations, visiting the corporate headquarters, and attending trade shows. Good time management skills are needed to plan ahead for all travel.
