Willing, Ready, Doing Courage to do what is Right Excellence Approachable The Right Person Will Have a passion for establishing and maintaining excellent customer relationships Be growth minded and offer innovative ideas that challenge the status quo Thrive in a collaborative and dynamic environment Be dedicated to bringing their best everyday Responsibilities Lead farm gate and customer visits with key dealers to demonstrate the value of Ag Leader products, learn and report on customer needs and to model the consultative sales approach. Manage, distribute, and follow up with qualified sales opportunities. Serve as the dealers resource for sales skills development and product knowledge. Keep dealers informed of changes in pricing, product availability, financing options, promotions, and other important initiatives or company communications. Work with key dealers to establish sales targets and create an annual business and marketing plan that aligns with regional and organizational objectives for growth. Plan and conduct trade shows, dealer open houses, conferences and other events that provide sales and brand promotion opportunities. Analyze performance of territory sales to identify opportunities and develop action plans to drive further regional growth. Continuous networking, vetting and recruiting potential new dealers to achieve the company s strategic growth goals. Develop and mentor new dealers to establish sales targets and go to market strategies. Serve as new dealers partner in executing their Ag Leader sales strategy. Provide updates on market trends, competitive information and future business and product opportunities. Build equity in the Ag Leader brand across the territory through execution of dealer marketing programs. Work effectively with the Training and Support teams to provide the right dealer expectations and meet critical needs in the field. At least 70% travel. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor s degree in business or agriculture, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum 3 years of successful field sales or sales management experience with proven experience growing a multi-million dollar territory. Familiarity with farming practices in production agriculture within the territory. Hands-on experience using precision technology and software. Experience modeling a consultative sales approach, utilizing effective listening, prospecting and negotiation techniques. Charismatic presenting to small and large audiences. Experience cold calling in B2C and B2B environments. Effective leadership, motivational, organizational and communication skills. Ability to gather, analyze and effectively present information on the performance of sales initiatives in the territory. Time management skills with ability to multi-task is required. Disciplined to work individually and in team settings. Crop production background a plus. Microsoft Office suite proficient.
