Regional Sales Manager - St. Louis, MO The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth by supporting Master Distributors (MDRs) and Independent Operators (IOs) within a designated sales area, along with assigned small regional chain and independent customer headquarter calls. This role requires frequent travel-approximately 60%-to MDR territories and customers, ensuring optimal supply levels, product delivery, and effective communication. The Regional Sales Manager will oversee market execution of products and promotions, provide regular Route to Market (RTM) updates and strategic recommendations to the Vice President, Sales Operations, and conduct sales calls on regional independent accounts to expand the customer base.
What You'll Do:
Support MDRs and IOs by conducting regular market visits and sales calls, fostering relationships, and identifying opportunities for growth. Travel extensively (60% of the time) within the assigned sales area to MDR territories, ensuring consistent presence and engagement with partners. Monitor Utz product supply levels, coordinate timely ordering and delivery of Utz products, and ensure product readiness for promotional activities and new product launches. Facilitate clear and consistent communication between MDRs, IOs, and internal teams to support effective execution of sales strategies and promotions. Provide the Sales Operations Director with RTM updates, market insights, and actionable strategies to expand the regional customer base and business opportunities. Conduct sales account calls on regional independent accounts to drive business growth and strengthen market coverage. Partner with MDRs and IOs to ensure promotional execution aligns with customer preferences, expectations, and requirements. Other duties as assigned to support sales growth and operational excellence in the region.
What You Bring:
Education Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience Strong leadership and management skills, with 5 years of sales experience supporting sales teams or distributors in a multi-location environment. Demonstrated sales experience, preferably in consumer packaged goods or distribution channels. Skills Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, both internally and externally. Readiness and ability to travel extensively (60% travel required) across the designated sales area. Proficiency in supply chain coordination, product ordering, and promotional execution. Ability to analyze market trends and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership. Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
