Job Description

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - INDUSTRIAL PACKAGINGOVERVIEW
We are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth within industrial packaging solutions. This role is focused on identifying, developing, and winning new business with manufacturers and supply chain-driven customers requiring custom, protective, and transport packaging.

This position is ideal for a sales professional who is comfortable owning the full business development cycle - from prospecting through close -and can operate independently while collaborating closely with operations and engineering teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDrive new business development within assigned territory or target marketIdentify, prospect, and qualify manufacturing and industrial customers with packaging needsDevelop and present packaging solutions tailored to customer applications and logistics requirementsManage the full sales cycle including discovery, quoting, negotiation, and closingCollaborate with internal engineering, operations, and project teams to deliver effective solutionsBuild and maintain long-term customer relationships with a focus on repeat and program businessMaintain an active pipeline and consistently meet or exceed revenue targetsProvide market intelligence on customer needs, competitors, and pricing trendsQUALIFICATIONS3+ years of business development, outside sales, or account acquisition experienceBackground in industrial products, manufacturing, packaging, logistics, or engineered solutionsProven ability to win new business and close complex, value-driven salesStrong consultative selling and customer-facing communication skills

EXPERIENCEIndustrial or protective packaging, custom crates, pallets, or engineered packaging solutionsSelling into manufacturing, OEM, or supply chain-driven environmentsExperience working with technical, engineered, or project-based sales cyclesCRM usage and structured pipeline managementWHAT IS OFFERED85-95k base + commission (opportunity to 2-3x base in commission)Established industrial solutions platform with strong operational supportOpportunity to build and grow a territory with long-term customer relationshipsEntrepreneurial sales role with ownership of results and impactClear path for growth based on performance
