Our goal is not just to fill jobs, but to build careers. Job Description Rent One is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to lead our Springfield, Illinois market. This role will oversee eight store locations and will be responsible for driving store performance, developing managers, supporting customer-facing teams, and ensuring strong execution across sales, operations, collections, inventory, compliance, and customer experience. You will coach managers, strengthen store performance, build team capability, and help shape the customer experience across multiple locations. What You'll Do As the Regional Manager, you will: Lead, coach, and support Store Managers across eight locations in the Springfield, Illinois market. Drive sales growth, customer retention, operational execution, and overall store performance. Hire, develop, coach, and hold leaders accountable for results and behaviors. Support team member engagement, performance conversations, and leadership development. Spend time in stores, working directly with managers and teams to identify opportunities and remove roadblocks. Help resolve customer concerns and support teams through customer conflict when needed. Oversee operational standards, audits, inventory control, policy adherence, and compliance expectations. Partner with senior leadership to align regional priorities with company goals. Use reporting, store visits, and business trends to identify performance gaps and create action plans. Model a strong leadership presence that is visible, approachable, fair, and accountable. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have: At least 2 years of multi-unit leadership experience in retail, restaurant, rental, sales, service, or a similar customer-facing business. Experience leading teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, accountability, and employee development. A strong track record of improving business performance through people leadership and operational discipline. Comfort working directly with customers and helping teams navigate difficult customer situations. Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with store teams, customers, and senior leaders. A hands-on leadership style with the ability to work in the field, visit stores regularly, and stay close to the business. A people-first personality with confidence, energy, and the ability to motivate others. Basic comfort with business tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, and other common systems. A valid driver's license and the ability to meet company driving requirements. Ability to travel regularly within the assigned Springfield, Illinois market. Preferred Experience The strongest candidates may also bring: Previous Regional Manager, District Manager, Area Manager, or multi-store leadership experience. Experience in rent-to-own, rental, collections, furniture, appliance, or home goods environments. Sales leadership experience. Collections or customer retention experience. Experience leading teams through change, growth, or performance improvement. Flexibility to relocate or grow into future leadership opportunities as the company expands.
