The Director of Sales and Marketing is a key leadership position responsible for developing and executing comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth across the company's full product portfolio. This includes refractory materials, refractory special shapes, refractory installation services, and high emissivity coatings sold into the Iron, Steel, Aluminum, Oil & Gas, HPI & CPI, Heat Treating, Biofuels, Biomass, Cremation, and other thermal processing industries. The role provides overall commercial leadership, oversees the sales team, and works closely with internal stakeholders to achieve company objectives.
Overall Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans to achieve company revenue targets and expand market share across all product segments. Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, including Business Development Managers, Marketing Manager, Sales Representatives, and other commercial staff. Oversee the day-to-day sales operations, pipeline management, forecasting, and performance tracking to ensure consistent achievement of sales goals. Collaborate with the Directors on segment specific strategies, customer handoffs, industry intelligence, and support for outages, installations, and key accounts in the markets we serve. Drive marketing initiatives, including digital marketing, branding, trade shows, and promotional campaigns to enhance company visibility and generate qualified leads. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and industry partners across all sectors. Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, pricing strategies, and regulatory developments to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risks. Work closely with operations, construction, and technical teams to ensure seamless project execution and high customer satisfaction. Provide regular reporting and analysis on sales performance, market insights, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership. Support the recruitment, training, and development of high performing sales and marketing talent.

At Will Qualifications:
(MBA preferred) Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field 8+ years of progressive experience in sales and marketing leadership, ideally within refractories, thermal processing, industrial materials, or related technical sectors. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and building high performing sales teams. Strong understanding of refractory materials, high emissivity coatings, biofuels, biomass, iron, aluminum, steel, heat treat, and thermal processing applications. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to travel extensively as required for customer visits, industry events, and team management. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
