Full-Time Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Sales to lead the company's overall sales strategy and manage the sales team. This role will focus on expanding revenue through both existing long-term customer relationships and the development of new business opportunities. The Director of Sales will play a key role in strengthening market presence across the United States and Caribbean markets, while driving growth in product lines and distribution channels. Key Responsibilities Sales Leadership & Strategy Lead, manage, and mentor the sales team through coaching, performance management, best-practice sharing, and joint sales calls. Develop and implement short-term and long-term sales strategies focused on increasing revenue, product volume (cases and pounds sold), and market penetration. Establish sales quotas, monitor pipeline performance, and track team productivity through sales metrics and reporting. Business Development Maintain and grow relationships with existing wholesale and retail distributors as well as retail grocery chains. Identify and develop new business opportunities across domestic and Caribbean markets. Expand product distribution and increase market share through strategic partnerships and targeted outreach. Broker & Account Management Manage and oversee broker relationships, including goal setting, performance reviews, and deduction management. Review and approve sales orders to ensure compliance with pricing policies and inventory availability. Monitor sales performance by account to ensure monthly and quarterly targets are achieved. Market & Product Strategy Conduct market analysis and gather feedback on salted fish and frozen seafood products related to pricing, packaging, distribution, and shelf placement. Evaluate geographic and demographic market segments to optimize product positioning and distribution density. Identify opportunities to expand product lines, including co-packing and commercialization initiatives. Promotions & Market Presence Manage promotional spending by account and across the portfolio, focusing on high return-on-investment marketing initiatives. Conduct store audits to evaluate product representation, placement accuracy, and market performance. Develop in-depth knowledge of the salted fish and frozen seafood market, including industry trends, competition, pricing strategies, and consumer preferences. Qualifications 5+ years of experience leading and managing sales teams with a proven track record of increasing revenue and margins. Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability and willingness to travel for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events. Sales process training is a plus ( Sandler Training preferred ). Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Education Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
